it was only a few very vocal extremist residents who objected, and apparently the leader of one of the residents associations doesn't even live in the area.

the vast majority of people from the country (and other cities around the country) hate Dublin and are damn glad not to be living there.

I'd say you traveled the length and breath of the country to find this out and you didn't just have a chat about it with three people in your local pub.

Loading 5 Garth Brooks Gigs on the Dubs was the boggers attempted payback on "da dubs" for taking over their "bog ball" and "stick fighting"

Kerry couldn't do 5 in a row, KK failed too. Now the whole lot of them together failed to get Brooks five in a row

Why do people like Garth Brooks anyway? He's just an American version of Daniel O'Donnell, and I don't see him doing 5 nights in Croker any time soon.

    I don't get it?

Probably but you know it's probably in a kitschy sort of way. :D

His BMI is better than Garth Brook's though.

Because everyone else is going..and because if you don't go he mightnt come for another 20 years. And because you'll be able to say you went.

At most concerts the audience can sing along to the majority of songs. Outside of friends in low places I'd imagine the audience won't know the words to another song.

I'm with the residents on this one. This has had the stink of money grabbing from day one not least by the gaa who now seem to be out of control.

I'm told Punchestown are in talks about the gigs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,670 ✭✭✭Peppa Pig

So Garth couldn't choose one of his kids over another?

If he had five kids needing a kidney transplant but only three kidneys were available, he would let all five die rather than save 3.

That is the level of crap he is expecting us to believe.

Can't be on the same dates though. Licensing by law takes 10 weeks so even if lodged today, nothing could take place until 10 weeks time at the earliest.

I think you need to learn what havoc, dictionary defines it as widespread destruction

You never heard someone say things like "it was havoc in town today" referring to big crowds, bad traffic? Well I often have and use the term myself in this context.
    Muahahaha wrote: »
Classy. Break the law because you don't agree with a lawful decision. This is throwing the toys out the pram stuff.

Its not breaking the law much more than half all the protests that go on in this country and I said before its not like it was going to be done anyway it was just venting at such a ridiculous decision.
    Muahahaha wrote: »
Lol, you're all about creating destruction in the Croke Park area. You are exactly the type of anti social character that the Croke Park residents don't want in their area. And if you're bashing your keyboard here about how you want to create havoc then I wonder what you might be getting up to after a feed of beer from 2pm til 11pm.

Again I never, not once mentioned or condoned any sort of destruction nor have I ever been involved in any "anti-social" behavior you are just making stuff up.

What will I be getting up to after the concert, getting out of the area and into town to a pub asap. Why would I (or any other concert goers) want to hang around the streets surrounding croke park.

Fantasy is all yours, we know what you wrote and it reveals a lot about how you think. You got caught with your pants down denying you ever said you wanted harm in the Croke Park community yet were called out on it.

What are you talking about being caught with my pants down, seriously you are talking pure nonsense.

I never said I wanted physical harm but I would be very happy to see cuts in funding for projects in the area (particularly anything the GAA are funding) etc. The only issue with that is it would effect all the genuine residents who didn't get their knicker in a twist over a few concerts.
    Muahahaha wrote: »
Wow, now you're descending to reinforcing stereotypes, way to go.

The vast majority of the people backing the residents are giving mountains of abuse to people from the country and using every insult under the sun towards us so I am only responding on the same level, a level they might understand.
    Muahahaha wrote: »
Was I mistaken or were you not the one shouting up telling us all .....

I won't even justify you last paragraph with a proper response as its pure and utter brain dead stuff altogether. I have much much better things for doing than conversing with the likes of you.

Can't Garth do two intimate acoustic shows instead? Or even busk for a couple of afternoons outside the €2 shop.

It's a win win, there's his next long player.

It's working, almost every Garth Brooks fan on this thread agree with him.

The only issue? That's the only issue here? Seriously? The fact these are sentiments only a vindictive, meat-headed, obdurate cúntbag would agree with ISN'T an issue?

The area tolerates all the games that happen every summer and at others times. For that alone, the GAA should contribute to the local community.

Has this bawbag actually got any sort of a fanbase outside Ireland and the US?

I've never heard of him doing sold out tours of europe and that

Thread needs preservation status for future generations for both lols and toxic publicity for the GAA/Garth lobby.

I doubt it, they would need 10 clear weeks for the licence application alone.

Hes not changing the venue. He wants 5 gigs consecutively in the 1 venue.
