    Carragher on Suarez.

His will to win is phenomenonal. He'd run through walls for his teams

If we sold Suarez, we could bring in the likes of Shaqiri, Sanchez, Lallana and someone else. Even after that, we would still be a weakened team.

How often does replacing quality with quantity work? Rarely from what I can see.

Keegan out Dalglish in was one of the great sell/buy upgrades! Maybe the best ever done by an English club, Rush out and Rush in was also good :p

Selling Suarez even for 100m would a big mistake. Real & Barca never sell there best player.

But that's them, they live in a different planet let's face it.

Man U sold Ronaldo. Arsenal sold Cesc and Van Persie. Chelsea loaned Victory Moses.

My big fear is there is a much lower release clause in his contract than 80 or 100m which is why he signed a new contract.

Yeah and we got him. It shows what a huge club we are & that we are on Real's & Barca's level.
But we have to keep Suarez at all costs imo.

Suarez has told the Uruguayan media countless times this summer that he's staying at Liverpool. It's generally accepted that Suarez likes the idea of Real Madrid but he's quite settled living in England and is doing well for himself. Unless he's motivated seriously by a huge wage packet I can't see him leaving Liverpool next season. If Liverpool managed to convince him to stay last Summer on the promise of improvement and delivery of competing for trophies then I'd imagine convincing him to stay for next season won't be very difficult.

Christ people should stop looking for things to scare themselves with.

    I want inward transfer talk.

Torres out and Suarez in was better.

John Giles went on a bit of a mad one on RTE and kept repeating 'kill your granny'. Must have said over twenty times

Within a week of Uruguay's elimination, whenever that is we'll at least have a better idea of what's in store for Suarez. Ominous silence or 'flattered' but vague comments from his camp will have me properly worried, but I can't see an unequivocal "I'm staying" statement unfortunately, at least not until such time as he returns to Liverpool training (if he gets there even).

I still rate him at 60% likely to be at LFC after the transfer window though.

I think this will be the last International Tourney for Gerrard and Alonso. End of an Era.

Well again, I think he'll stay, tbh. But if a bid of 100M comes in and he's sold, while I'll be so very much gutted, I won't be angry with the owners, committee, Rodgers or whoever else sanctions such a deal is where I'm coming from. I think some here will have the pitchforks out though even it it were a world record fee for a footballer. If we sold him for 60M, I'll bring my pitchfork along and supply every Liverpool fan here with one though.

Real would have to probably sell Benzema or Di Maria maybe evem both to fund a Suarez move. They are in alot of debt. I could see them going for Falcao if Mendes could get Monaco to let him go fairly cheap.

Gerrard should have packed it in after the 2012 euros where he was probably England's best player. Only one way to go after that at his age.

Or just done a Scholes and packed it in ages ago. Not worth the hassle.

Gerrard was out on his feet for the last half dozen games for Liverpool this season....completely ran out of steam after 60 minutes in those games. It's no surprise really to see him struggle for form now after playing so many games this season. Time waits for no man.

Victor Moses on a 4 year deal for £8m!

'I still have 19 goals to score to reach my targets for Liverpool and 4 years should help me achieve that', said Anfield favourite Moses today, to an unidentified reporter.

Maybe thats the way to look at it - Suarez is so good no one can afford him.

It's enevitable that madrid will come in for him. I just hope we are the first club to give them the finger and just say not for sale at any price.

Of course while he deserved some For his on pitch antics he has been dragged through the mire like a criminal in the media. Delighted for him.

    Messi will never leave Barca.

But if someone (Real) offer Messi money for Suarez he will go.

No one could blame him or the club for that happening.
