Unfortunately I think this will happen. Well maybe not exactly like that, but I think Suarez will be wearing a Barca jersey come next season.

His wife would be keen on a move as she has family in Barca (remember a love sick Suarez followed her there) so the move would be painless.

So I'm saying it now....if Barca are serious it's goodbye.

I for one would not begrudge him the move.
I just hope we ring the deal dry of every cent, or talent available.

Christ. What has changed in the past few days that makes you so sure such a speculative deal will happen? It was Madrid with the last 2 years and now all of a sudden its Barca & a player swap deal thrown in for good measure.

I do expect Madrid to show an interest, who doesn't.

But if the Barca link is true and with some family there, then I think it could well happen and something the Suarez family would desire, and not just Suarez the player.

Look it's all speculation and my personal opinion but tell me..who turns down Barca and possibly playing beside Messi?

I would not swap Suarez for any player Barcelona want to get rid of. If they want him it will cost them alot of money.

There's no way Henry will let Suarez go this summer as he's Liverpool's best chance at reaching the top 4 again and having a good CL campaign. I do believe after that, and with the money made, Suarez will be sold next summer as he'll be 28 and he wants to play in Spain so we'll cash in as the team will be stronger and can maybe reach the likes of Man City with the Suarez money.

I just can't see him going anywhere this summer no matter how well he plays in the WC.

Well Costa Rica have just beaten Italy so if I'm right that's England offically out.
All down to the Italy v Uruguay game then to see who goes through with Cost Rica.

That Group has really been turned on its head now from what people were expecting.

From a Liverpool point of view it would be good to see Italy grind out a win against Uruguay so Suarez can return to LFC soon and get some pre-season in.

Also, Barca might just decide Joel Campbell or Bryan Ruiz are great transfer targets instead of King Luis!

Italy only need a draw actually as they have better goal difference.

Barca do have form for this kind of deal - look at the mad swap they did for Ibrahamovic

Would hope Liverpool milk it if true though, with buy back and sell on and all sorts of other clauses (though if the rumours about the buy out clause in his contract are correct there may not be that much wiggle room.)

I refuse to believe that astute business like henry would allow there top asset walk for €70m. This release cause ****e is annoying there always no smoke without fire. I remain cautious. I would be sick if he went for such a low fee.

Just one thing that struck me about the will to win. Suarez clearly wasn't fully fit but he fought for everything and his class, talent, and sheer desire to win came through. Ronaldo is also not fully fit and he just seems to be half-trying and moaning and giving up if it doesn't go his way.

Both are massively talented players, but the attitude of Suarez is in stark contrast to that of Ronaldo.

Not trolling, or starting a 'Suarez v Ronaldo' fight or anything like that, I just thought the contrast between the two mindsets, the two ways of dealing with not being fully fit at a tournament that's the pinnacle of your International Career, was an interesting one...

It's mad to think that only 5 weeks ago Suarez was sitting in a wheelchair after surgery.

Hard to believe he put in that performance last night considering he hadn't played since the Newcastle game.

Used to follow him. He regurgitates stories from the rag papers. A few Spanish journos have said there is nothing in it.
