Kess, I have a great rumour for you. Carra to join coaching staff at Villa is Keane takes a job there. The Irishman has been impressed with Carragher's analysis on SKY this season, having always admired his no-nonsense playing style...

No no no. That persona would not be suitable for the fourm. That persona likes to arrive dressed as a plumber, and ask in a german accent if there are pipes that need cleaning. He may or may not be on the payroll of one Jackie Treehorn.
You've no idea how upset I was when I realised who Jackie Treehorn was after googling it....I need to watch TBL again this weekend :(

Nah everyone knows that Carragher is off to join the Everton coaching staff. Will even drop his kecks during his first PC to display his tattoo of the Everton crest. :p

I'd be happy to take £10M for Borini.

Or else £14M and Adam Johnson for Borini.

    Why?

I wouldn't pay £4m for Adam Johnson, so he can play well for 5 games a season and laze around for the rest of it, earning multiples of what he deserves.

Sterling is on a different planet to him and I'd rather give Ibe a chance as backup than Johnson.

Kess you usually keep your ear to the ground on some reliable stuff. Anything of note going on? Is the Moreno deal a runner? Anything on Lallana or Shaqiri?

Its only after dawning on me... I was watching the Ireland Italy game recently and noticed someone familiar... Could it be? No. Not possible, sure he was Argentinian. Yet he looked like someone I once recognised... albeit less hair and an extremely bad combover/ centre parting.
Yet I found out this morning it was him. He's now Italian. And is in fact going to the World Cup. I'm amazed.

HAHA, cleverly managed to avoid dipping into Viking Direct stash for yourself!

Know about as much rubbish as the rest of you do.

Kicker mentioned an approach for Shaqirir about a week ago but not read anything solid on that since. Kicker tend to be fairly reliable, much more so than the likes of Bild, so that caught my eye.

I think that the Lallana deal will eventually go through. Not basing that on anything other than a feeling that I think Rodgers really wants the player, and on the fact that I think he would really fit well into our team.

Moreno? Who knows. Looks a good player for his age, but would really love it if we went after Ricardo Rodriguez. He looks top notch in the bundesliga and like Moreno is very young so his best years should be ahead of him.

My Viking stash is grand. Gerry does me a good deal whenever I call up.

Turned out to be a decent enough player as well.

I used to always sign up Paletta in Pro Evo 6. Him and Agger were a class pair in that.

Reminds me of how Coates could go. We bought him very green, he wasn't ready for our level, and ended up back in South America before making a second trip to Europe as a more experienced defender.

We have all given up on Coates, but he played every minute of the last 5 games of the season for his old club and is in the Uruguay squad.

Maybe we need to be warned of the Paletta story before giving up too quickly...

If the manager isn't convinced by Coates, and it appears he isn't, then he will never fulfil his potential here. He will need to go elsewhere, probably abroad, to become the best player he can be.

Ah Gabriel Paletta. I remember Aliadiere & The Beast ripping him a new one in the Carling Cup. Probably his last game for the club. Could be a bit like Coates being given the run around by Matt Smith. Defining moments!

I view fake twitter accounts like prank calls, pretty bad form in general. Unless it's a prank call pretending to be the American dream!!! http://media.ccomrcdn.com/media/station_content/1738/dusty1_1361991069_18269.mp3

I'll see you at the starcade!! My eyes are open like silver dollas.

Gianluca di Marzio is saying we're talking to Bayern re: Shaqiri as well. Pretty much a confirmation.

I saw that - he's very reliable, as they go.

    DOOO ITT!!!!

What a great signing that would be. Strong, explosive, quick, good in the air (for a little guy!), good feet, young...and not too similar to anything we already have.

DiMarzio is one of the few reliable sources on twitter. Would be a fantastic signing, he is quick, direct and perfectly built for the EPL. He will be on show in the world cup so you just know Bayern will be hoping for a bidding war if he puts in a good showing so that could put an end to a quick deal.

Shaqiri and Moreno are the type of calibre signings I am hoping to see.

Bayern want €20millon I believe, which to be fair is his value I'd say

And yet, I half expect to see him paraded around in an Arsenal shirt or the like, and Moreno at Real with Coentrao going to United.

    Just because fook us!

I wouldn't argue with that, structured correctly. That's a lot less than Lallana will cost, although wages would be higher.

Him and Emre will be roomies! - "Shaq & the Can"

Haven't seen much of Shaqiri since he went to Bayern.

Would he go straight into our first 11? Ahead of Sterling? Coutinho?
