Using the World Cup amnesty to sneak in here as I haven't gotten around to requesting access yet

Had a ball following the thread during the season, loved the Pandas and Saps, hopefully we can continue on with the feelgood factor after this seasons over achievement

Very much hope the Shaqiri rumours are true, he is a player I have always liked and think he would fit in very well

    Onwards and upwards (hopefully) lads
Though Chelsea could be scary good next season

Long time reader first time poster.

I have to say I've had a great time this season. It's the first year in a long time where I could actually watch most games, no more working weekends :)
It's been a rollercoaster season for me from the Flanagan goal against Spurs, thumping Arsenal and doing United as well, to the famous slip, the E'to challenge on Suarez and just missing out on the league.
I've supported Liverpool since 93/94 as a six year old, and my dad has supported them since he was a chap, and bar the treble season and the championship league win in 05 I have never enjoyed a season so much, 95% of my friends support United and they were always quick to remind me how far we had fallen!!
All season I wanted to post in this thread, but didn't have access, and join in the banter with the rest of the mad Panda—Saps.
Well here's to next year and hopefully we can build on the great work of this season and cement top four and build a squad which will get us over the final hurdle!!

We're famous lads, we need to harness this power and take over the world.

I was going to post something similar but I'm afraid of confrontation.

Buy Alexis Sanchez. That is all.

We are linked to Robert Firmino today aswell I see, he has been brilliant for Hoffenheim this season, an alternative to Lallana perhaps

Sanchez would be an absolutely monster signing for the club, im actually hoping he has a quiet world cup, otherwise he'll be even hotter property than he already is

I may be wrong on this but does the Sun not have a huge influence over the British electorate? If Labour want to get back into power then they will need to get back into bed with the Sun at some point, so I'm not really surprised!

Think its the biggest selling paper in Britain, whether that equates to the biggest seller amongst voters I don't know.

Milliband did issue what might be called a non apology apology stating he was backing England's World Cup bid and was sorry if he offended anyone.

A kind of a not sorry for the act, but sorry for the trouble caused by the act. You'd wonder should his advisors have ensured this didn't happen

Ngoo and Sokolik are apparently close to sealing deals with League 2 side Southend. Hopefully both can get contracts. Ngoo in particular could tear that league up.

Craig Johnston and future signing Alexis Sanchez :pac:

What about the fact that Cahill used to bang them in for our city rivals? Or that Bresciano was linked with us once upon a time..as was Vargas? I like this game!

    So the games so far:

Brazil v Croatia: We had 2 brazilians that didn't make the squad, plus we've been linked to Ratikic lately.

Mexico v Cameroon: We were heavily linked with Guardado a few years ago, plus the previously mentioned facts. Not to mention Rigobert Song is the assistanct coach afaik.

You forgot that Cameroon's first choice 'keeper used to play for us.

The most wonderful aspect of the World Cup imo is that it grinds transfer business to a halt. Great to spend the summer watching and talking about football at its absolute pinnacle than theorizing about deals that may or may not happen! :)

Liverpool boys up tonight, hope they carry their form across. Would love to see Gerrard have a big tournament and lead them on a run.

While I want Liverpool players to do well, I don't want Hodgson to (petty perhaps, but I'm ok with that), and I really don't think England will do too well regardless of what I want. I'm just annoyed that Suarez won't be starting tonight. The world cup is great, and I love watching it, but Liverpool supercedes all that by a mile for me. I want the LFC players to do we.l, while still going out early enough to ensure a good rest before they join back up with the squad in mid-late July.

Pretty much word for word how I feel.

Is it confirmed Suarez won't start? Pics of him training left me with the impression that he's fine.

Pretty sure the coach said they would not risk him for the first game anyway.

Ya, the coach yesterday named his starting lineup and said unless something unforseen happens that's what it will be. If Uruguay need a goal with 20 or 30 mins left though he will come on I'd imagine. They shouldn't need him vs Costa Rico.

mmm.... I can't help but not really wanting England to do that well.

Call me bitter old fashioned Irish if you want but I can't stand how English media hype them up and I just also don't want Hodgson to do well.

Also, if they go out early then Liverpool players can rest more in the summer.

Hype? The media have been on their best behaviour (so far). Imagine the Irish and your plastic hammers! :p
