Their modus operandus is to deliberately position themselves in a position where they will block traffic and wait for anyone to come to close to them and then start a confrontation. The fact that Droid carries a measuring tape with him should kind if hint he is a few spokes short of a full wheel. And the fact that Droid cycles smack bang in the middle of a bus lane, waiting for a bus to overtake him and then has a meltdown.
    If you defend nutters like Droid, it proves to me that you're of the same ilk, you have a cast iron agenda that you will not deviate from and you are not willing to give an inch.
    So I do not see the need to deviate from my position. Just make sure you don't fall off that soapbox.
    A lot of people manage to cycle around without being **** about it.

    There's no absolute or relative irony at all.

    I've spelled out the comparative dangers of your average cyclist travelling at 5-30 km/h versus the huge number of motorists driving vehicles weighing 1000-10,000 kg and up at speeds typically in excess of 50 km/h.

    Understanding the difference, and appreciating the need for speed surveillance, just needs a rudimentary knowledge of physics combined with common sense and a bit of respect for vulnerable road users. Not my fault that such understanding is in short supply.

    Thing is, non-**** in motorised vehicles are still potentially more dangerous to others than all the wankiest **** on push-bikes, and **** in motorised vehicles (of which there are far too many) are the most dangerous of all.

    Those huge numbers of motorists were not the subject of that documentary. Your argument is invalid.

    Yet when somebody in a car makes a decision that 60kmph in a 50 zone is safe their understanding of physics is irrelevant and you just go back to your 'obey the rule' rhetoric. There's the irony.

    Just for the record, I'm currently studying for an honours degree in experimental physics. My understanding is not in short supply, so less of the insults.

    I'm not referring to the documentary but to the clip extracted in a pathetic attempt to discredit Traffic Droid. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did the documentary not say that he had uploaded 1600 videos? Surely there must be more damning material than an utterly inconsequential alleged RLJ incident?

    "Somebody in a car" has no right to make such a decision, and no evidence to support it.

    Best of luck with your Experimental Physics degree. I'm not convinced regarding Applied Physics however.

    Lads, this thread is starting to drift way off topic here. We're now dealing with cyclists and helmet cameras rather than dashcams. Can we stop this discussion and move on please? I don't even think creating a motors thread is wise in this case. There are plenty of helmet cam discussions over in cycling.

    Just casually driving the wrong way down a dual carrigeway, the thing is the nearest place they could have came onto the road is over a Km away, they don't seem to care either judging by the speed they are doing. lucky they didn't hit anyone.

    Unfortunately nobody reported it (which I was surprised at) the Guard then pretty much hung up on me after saying at its no use if we don't know the reg :rolleyes:

    I thought the least he could have done was take my details in case someone reports the reg later.

    Just email them the youtube link and some time and location information, with the video evidence, they'll have to do something!

    The driver was obviously lucky to avoid a crash as there was no reports of a crash caused by someone driving the wrong way.

    That riding style would be lethal on a 125cc bike, all that really matters is how he is weaving in and out of traffic at speed.

    Thats the exact reason I hate those who think its safe to speed in built up areas, like some of those younger drivers who commented on my last vid.
    And I quote....

    An extra 15kpm and your chances of avoiding them kids would be reduced by a scary amount.
