    I suppose the 'Search This Thread' feature (Top Right of this page) isn't very obvious but in fairness if people used it you'd get the answers and more quickly too.

    Here's a link to a step by step guide on what satellites.xml is, where you can get it and where you put it in your Alien2.

    Been using Hyperion 4 for around a week now with no problems at all really stable image
    I see there is an IPTV plugin available
    When I was using spark this worked ok ish a lot of channels were unavailable but the technology worked you could watch some IP cameras at Niagra falls and streets in Amsterdam and the likes on spark there was also a youtube viewer but i dont see it on on Hyperion any way to get this ?
    Also what are others views 1channell and tSmedia 1channell seems to connect I can view a list of stuff that's available
    but when i try to watch it says not available or something like that is it just me can others watch this ?

    hi all relatively new to forum but found ppl friendly and most helpfull on here ,i am running a icecrpt 3700 which to all intensive purposes as far as i can see is same as saab and amiko alien 2 boxes 3 tuners ect. i recently put in a new pli image which looks good but tsmedia 6.3 isnt working great lot of movie apps dont give movies none that say series wwill open at all.any advise on how to get tsmedia working well i am using version 6.3. when on hdmu side these boxes look a bit of a nightmare to set up the moter so any advise or guides on how to do this would be appreciated. does anybody know anything on how to set up ruya iptv or know anything about it dont know if its free or thruogh a pay service bit blind on this,many thanks in advance for any help on thses matters.

    Just loaded up GiveCredit's image (see the firmware thread) and so far it looks bloody good.

    i dont find this the easiest site to navigate round the only way i find my way back to this amiko alien 2 thread is because ive saved it to my browser,so wher do i find the firmware thread. i have a new pli image in my icecrypt 3700 looks quite good but everytime i go into network to find my ip address to edit oscam the box crashes saying encountered a problem need to restart your box.

    does that mean you can get a xbmc pluggin installed onto your box that would give you accsess to iptv through rasberry pi whatver that is ive only had the one you can eat lol.

    I have just applied GiveCredits image to my AA2 using the New sky skin. All in our household are very happy.

    Just one question someone might help me with. How do I exit the RTE webplayer?

    Hi all,

    I've a few questions about the unit. I'm not well up on all of this stuff and when I try to read through this or anywhere else I get lost. I'm not really a techno dummy but without the device here I'm lost.

    If I get enigma installed is there much fiddling around with it required? I want it to be able to record fta and saorview from a timer and I want to be able to watch Netflix, 4oD and stream the football ;). I have a 3TB hard drive which I can partition/ wipe but I'm not really interested in the rest. Getting the card from setanta to watch LFCTV has tweaked my interest but I can survive without it.

    Have I got the wrong end of the stick here. Is this what it does? I have 1 fta cable in place and saorview but just a basic receiver. Reading here has me thinking its a rubicks cube of sat receivers.

    Enigma will take a bit of work to set up

    theres no 4od or netflix on enigma 2

    if its recording and viewing spark would do but your fta box u have might do also

    Go to your plugins and run autobouquets and it will sort the channels as per sky, plus listing them as entertainment, movies, sport, etc

    If your using it for sky and not fta here's my channel list and dreamboxedit for if you don't already have it. Its just a matter of loading the channel list in dbeidt then transferring it over.

    Sounds like you have autobouquets set to scan for fta only if you only get 7 sports channels. All the channels you can pick up should be in Favourites (ok + blue button). Should be no need to go to satellites/providers/all. Saorview can be saved it the Favouites (Tv) bouquet and won't be affected when you run AB.

    Hi,

    I am running an ARP E2 image and am a happy camper with several day EPG, HDD recording and FTA/Saorview in one box. Thanks to all here for their help in getting me there.

    Its being working grand for a couple of weeks, so obviously i need to play around with it. I have been trying to connect to my NAS and in Mountmanager i can input all the details but I cannot browse the NAS. Has anybody used the AA2 to browse and run files from their NAS?

    1. Press Menu,
    2. Go to Setup
    3. Go to service searching.
    4. Go to AutoBouquets
    5. When in Autobouquets press menu button on your remote.
    6. A menu called "AutoBouquets setup" should appear.
    7. Change "scan free to air" =yes to =no by just toggling to right...
    8. Press green button to save your settings and press green again. With a minute for program to complete and exit out of menu.
