I have to admit i have watched very little of swansea this season, wasnt aware he had a bad season. I was under the impression he was a good keeper
He wasn't that bad last season. It was broken up badly by knee injury though.

For 35k a week (his current Swansea salary) a week he is worth it.

Hmmm injury is fair enough, and also suffering from his reputation after having a fantastic opening season with Swansea.

I still feel that having seen him a few times this season, he was a shadow of his old self and one of the main things you'd look for in a 'keeper he seemed to be lacking - the ability to command. He seemed quiet.

If Marshall was available for the same price then I'd much prefer him, although Rodgers will know Vorm and what he's capable of

I think people are forgetting that Vorm has been fairly pathetic for Swansea this season, Swansea are being smart and looking to upgrade. 5m for Vorm will go a long way towards a replacement keeper of better quality for them imo

Vorm has been injured for alot of the season though. Year before that he was excellent, one of the best in the league. He's a bargain at 5m. An International keeper who would be an excellent option to have to Mignolet.

If Cesc goes anywhere it will be Munich, PSG or Arsenal.

Vorm would be a great addition to the squad. I believe he would push Mignolet to perform at his maximum. You would be confident in Vorm's ability to come into the team at any point during the season if needed.

Always like Bellamy, hard worker and never afraid to tell it how it is.

I always felt he left us too soon twice. He was brilliant in his second spell for us. A quality journeyman if there ever was one.

His form might have been off, fair enough, I didn't see much of Swansea but for the games we played against them in which I cannot remember who was in goal and the Wales derby, but didn't he suffer an injury or two last season? Also, when you have fool (am I allowed to call him fool, because of his foolish defending?) Chico Flores in front of you to depend on, you're in for a bad time.

Uruguay say Suarezs injury occurred the last day of the season.

could it have been in that controversial tackle by Dummet that others said he was play acting?

In the last 5 or 6 games of the season Suarez took some heavy tackles, something he's going to get a lot more of next season. Could be players trying to put him out of the game  or he's just too quick :D I think he jumped up after Dummet and a lot of the other challenges as he wants to get rid of the reputation of going down easily or looking for fouls. He's lucky he's not playing in Maradona's time, some of the treatment (assaults) he got was unbelievable

Shame we didn't get him earlier in his career. Could have been an Anfield legend.

Would be fine with Vorm for 5m. On the subject of spending 5m on a backup goalkeeper - really the backup for every position should be worth an absolute minimum of 5 million. Never know when an injury is going to strike. I thought it was madness going into last season with just Jones as cover - if anything happened to Mignolet, it wouldn't really matter how good the rest of the team would be, we'd be at a huge disadvantage right away.

As far as Reina is concerned, it just doesn't make sense to use him for a year and then lose him for nothing, and still need to buy another replacement then anyway. If we sell him now, the fee will pay for Vorm, and Reina's wages will probably cover Vorm plus another player.

    ;)

I was sure he'd already as good as announced his retirement a while back.

    I wish him well.

    Lol.

I have a mate with a mouth like bellamy, always either jeering the oppo or bollocking his own team. Bellamy is a pure extrovert and more entertaining for it, none of this broody sullen silence treatment when he is down, just a tirade of villification for his foe.
Great player who lost a good bit of his "running in behind" in the last year or so, maybe prompting this call. Look forward to seeing him on itv with roy keane, :p

the Liverpool Fire Chief rang Brendan the other night and said,

"Mr Rodgers, Anfield Stadium is on fire but we're doing our best to put it out"

Brendan screamed, "the cups, the cups, save the cups"

The Fire Chief said, "calm down sir, it hasn't reached the canteen yet"! :pac:

See, the premise is fine, as it was in theory with that Gerrard Curse picture before, but neither fit Liverpool or Gerrard.

There are plenty of things to poke fun at with regards LFC, why try to mock the clubs trophy haul (65) or the number of trophy's Gerrard has won (11 - excluding personal honours).

    Doesn't make any sense :-/

Thursdays are usually good for transfer talk when the embargos lift at half 10 on the papers. Hopefully something we can fight over tonight.
