Who did you send it back to?,ive a problem with my microphone and people cant hear me on calls and it won't record sound on videos,i done a factory reset and it didn't fix it

I had the mic problem too (and the purple tint on the camera). Contacted HTC and they sent me instructions about how to run diagnostics (did that) and factory reset (did that). Both problems persisted. They then sent me the names of 2 repair centres in Dublin. Fonfix and SBE Ireland.

After doing a bit of digging, I found out that Fonfix can't/don't deal with those problems and send the phones to SBE. SBE then then it to their service centre in the UK. So I decided to not send it to Fonfix, as this would just be adding another middle man.

It arrived in Dublin yesterday, and SBE confirmed that they were shipping it to the UK yesterday afternoon. The lady up there said they usually come back from the UK in 2-3 days.

I bought my htc one mini a few months back unlocked. I'm with three at the moment. I'm going to be in the US for the summer and I just want to check that if I bring it over with me an american sim will work? Does anyone have any recomendations as to which network to go with? Thanks

I got the M8 this week and mentioned that I'm going to America too. He said something about unlocking with the IEMI number so I could go to AT&T or someone. It might be worth popping in to the three store to ask them.

Looking for a bit of help, wondering how I can determine information in relation to my internal phone memory. Unable to install apps, insufficient storage space keeps coming up although I've uninstalled apps? Checked the storage settings but that just gives information re the amount of GB taken up by my music, apps, pics etc but doesn't give information re the internal phone memory??

Not sure if others have this problem, but I find the beep before a call is actioned is very annoying. It's very loud and seems to be at that perfect eardrum bursting pitch. If you accidentally turn the speaker on while holding your phone up to your ear it's actually sore. Is there a way to turn it off?

Its to let you know your calling another network other than your own so I doubt it can tbh

I used to have that problem, update seems to have fixed it

Anyone ever have trouble with wifi hanging while turning on? Just can't turn it on or off now, when you go into settings the wifi icon is just flashing. Rebooted several times, and then did a reset and still the same. Have the phone less than a year and was very happy with it until yesterday!
    Version 4.4.2

Have a 2 month old One, running 4.4.2 and it has started dropping data connection. I am on Vodafone 4G. Nearly every time I turn on phone there is no data signal, especially if phone has been inactive for some time and I have to turn data on and off to get it back on, anyone with similar problem? I have rebooted phone but no difference.

Not sure if I'm posting in the right place but started a thread before and got no response. Could someone tell me how to quickly+easily sync my colornotes online? Working from HTC Android and even though it says its syncing I can't see any record of my notes online/in email. So say if I lose my phone where should I go to look for the notes to back them up?? Confusing me and I have over 200notes so really need to get it sorted. Thanks in advance anyone who knows how to do this (:

I used to use ColorNotes, as I thought it was a good app in general for writing quick notes. One thing they lacked (and still seem to lack) is a web interface for looking at/organising your notes. You can sync across devices and back up to your SD card, but that's the extent of it.

Anyone know how to restore the backup from one HTC One to another? I was having problems with my battery so they gave me a new handset. The problem is it doesn't seem to recognise the backups from my old phone. I know they're stored somewhere because I restored my phone to factory settings recently and I was able to restore it from the cloud. I had assumed it would just be in my HTC account but it's saying there's nothing there. Is it not recognising it because it's a new phone? Any ideas?

Yes, I've seen reports on flipboard that it's being rolled out in Europe, but no sign of it yet.

Is it carrier-dependent, or does it come from HTC regardless of who you bought the phone from?

That right? I can understand an android update going through carrier approval, but a HTC software update? Is have thought Three wouldn't need to approve that. Not saying you're wrong, just still wondering.

I'm just going by this HTC UK status: http://www.htc.com/uk/go/htc-software-updates/

Could be wrong - have no doubts about that :)

Surely were on the brink of an update?

Because the OTA hasn't been sent out yet? If you're that desperate, just unlock and root your phone.

Who sends out the OTA? HTC or the carrier?

if you're international unlocked, then it should come directly from htc. when you will receive it is anybody's guess. as you probably know, in the US, carriers were sending out sense 6 updates for the one max first.

My phone is O2 branded, but it is unlocked. Haven't the balls to go and root it though :o

Considering the two year warranty i won't be rooting.

Rooting won't affect warranty for manufacturers defect. Pros far outweigh cons.

My HTC One turned into a shiny brick on Monday evening, no idea why. Wasn't using it or anything, just would not turn on at all, no charge going into it either (tried using PC, PS3, work PC, wall charger, multiple cables/etc). Pain in the hole really.

Anyways, only got the phone in November so still within warranty, but it was rooted & had a ROM installed. Now because the phone won't turn on at all, I assume this won't impact on my warranty status, would it? They won't know it's rooted/with a ROM until they fix it anyway, right?

you should be fine, but you've tried everything possible to get it going? you have left it charging overnight, kept pressing power button while having phone in a bright light source etc?
