Great mix one word of caution re Tyrella graze ferociously every 2 weeks during main growth season. It's not the most palatable but grows lots of tonnes

GG spray soon for weeds and you'll be dock free for a few years

Well sure that's no problem. I can take bales out easily with my own gear.
Plan to put some cut sward on this week. And spray in week or two

There was over 400 soft wood trees at end of the field when we moved in 10 yrs ago. Used them to fence the place.

There rotten now and just fall over.
They were a good shirt term solution

We put it in at time of sowing. Better have the fert waiting for the seed than the seed waiting for the fert.

Protien content is not that importent at the moment as they are getting plenty in the grass.

Energy and minerals are the main thing.

To prevent acicdosis make good quality straw availabe and/or get an acid buffer added to the nuts.

Energy is very important now. Now is when your protein will drop and a lot of lads are finding very few bullings. This is after happening from paddocks starting to head with the last bit if rain that came.
I'm seeing less activity rmthis week and our PRo dropped to 3.54 today because I put them on a paddock with short grass that had headed around the headlands

Any ideas on how to level out dung in paddocks.
Chain harrow upside down us the best I can manage but not great. Was thinking of making a device out of tyre to pull after tractor to spread the crap about. The uneaten grass untop bugs me.

Land leveller is your best option. You can drag or push with them as the blades/angles are in both directions on the better models. They are attached via the 3pt linkage so you can use your controls to alter the depth.

Disc mower when topping works pretty well..

I see covney is doing his bit to make the superlevy situation next year worse, allocating 100 litres quota to all new entrants in 2015 any hope of some flexi-milk next year has just went out the window
