Even if Villa did beat City they can still win it with 3 points against the Hammers. Is that right?

Nope a win against Newcastle would win the league. But don't even tempt yourself.

If they lose tonight and we beat Newcastle we win the league. If they draw tonight and win at West Ham and we beat Newcastle it goes to goal diff again.

Why would that offer hope? It's a one off game in an entirely different situation/context to those games.

No, if Villa beat City it's back in our hands.

    Oh Jesus.

I just want it all to be over.

I can't stand the possibilities, the half hoping.

Going to get a bottle of Jameson from the shop.

Tactical masterclass. That's the official term for six at the back.

God it was gullible. Got caught up in the emotion against Palace. I'm worried about what Rodgers can do with the club long term.

Am I allowed mention BNMC sent me a visitor message?

I love the little rivalries we all have on the soccer forum.

Nothing little about me VS the entire Arsenal fanbase.

Its better than going and losing to the same team 5-1 and then be beating by the "masterclass" 6-0 i suppose.

Jaysus Paul. This is Villa. Worse, Lambert's Villa. The Villa that lost in hapless fashion to a league two side in a cup semi final. Villa are a disgrace to the city of Birmingham (if such a thing is even possible) bad the human race at large. Villa to get a result? Pah!

Ha ha, so you are not really interested in the bet. Why were you looking for it then?

I have to be honest here and say that I do feel a certain sympathy for Liverpool here. If it wasn't for the ridiculous business model that City have employed in which they are a pet project for some of the wealthiest people in the world then Liverpool would probably have won the league.

People didn't really care when City had pipped United a couple of years ago as United had won loads and City hadn't won in years. However, we have to ask the question what happens if City continue to buy success at a different level to everyone else and this goes on for, say, 5 years? It cannot be good for the game.

People may say that United bought success over the years and that it is just sour grapes and maybe it is. However City have broken the various rules designed to allow some sort of fair play. Fines on them are totally pointless. In my opinion the punishment for this should be disqualification from whatever competitions they are entered in.

I have always said that United, Arsenal and Liverpool are closer to each other in the core philosophy, structure and business model than they are to City and Chelsea.
