Lucas fair enough but Coutinho would have loved for him to be included.

He would've been if he could shoot. Hopefully he works on that over the summer.

Next season we need MOAR GOLS!

Why would that offer hope? It's a one off game in an entirely different situation/context to those games.

You're right but it can give Villa a little confidence that they are capable of a result.

Promised myself I wouldn't watch the match.

Decided to read about it on boards instead. Sigh.

Actually, he slipped forwards, not on his arse.

Ah this is desparate.... The hope that kills you..... Villa have no outlet at all here.

And judging by Twitter it's quite the goal.

Really do think he'll be a great option to have next season. He's proved he can handle pressure and bagged some crucial goals. Hope he gets a chance with us.

Not sure, there's a big difference playing for relegation teams to title contenders.

I'd like us to see us recruit higher level to be honest.

If this ends a draw it'll kill me.

I really think he can shine with better players around him. He did show some great link up play with Sturridge and Suarez in the second half of the season before he got loaned.
Injuries really blighted his time with us and I think a decent run for him in the cups and to cover injuries could show what he is capable of. He could be looking at 10-15 starts there and add in substitutions appearances, he will be needed.

Yes there's a difference you have players of lesser quality providing you with chances. Considering the goals he has scored in a struggling team he would be a good option. Certainly shown more than Moses/Aspas have and has more fight and desire than most too

Its harder to score goals at Sunderland than at Liverpool. Nothing wrong with Fabio.

A draw means another draw against west ham instead of relying on them for a win is fine..

Borini certainly offers more than Moses ever could and more than Aspas. The loan spell has done him a world of good and he will definitely be a good squad player if BR holds onto him.

That finish from Borini, and the run across the box, was top quality. Got a clobber in the face from the goalie too. Great goal.
