Why would Hyppia be the 'obvious option'?

He has just been a manager, why would he go back to being a defensive coach?
It just reeks of being a sentimental appointment.

    Same for Steve Clarke.
It should be easy to get a defensive coach from anywhere and they don't have to have links with the club, they have to be the best person for the job.

If we're talking sentimental appointments, how about Carra as a defensive coach?

Lads don't do it to yourselves, City will run riot over Villa.

which makes the attempts at closing the goal difference on Monday all the more fúcking infuriating.

No idea, was retweeted by TSF account. But is anyone actually reliable when it comes to these things? ...

Utd are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. City are the top dogs in Manchester now.

I think City could be up there or thereabouts for decades, it's intimidating. With Utd they seemed to crumble as soon as Fergie left though they had deficiencies in their squad long before. City go from strength to strength.

FFP looks like a load of bs, City can pay those fines all day. I'm much more worried about them than anyone else in the league.

Call me weird but one of the highlights I will get out of this season is Utd supporters cheering on City.

Proof is in the pudding with FFP. The 60m fine will have to be counted in the next 3 years accounts (possibly taken from prize money) , plus the committee UEFA set up to look at accounts said that the sponsorship deals (where Etihad were involved) should only be taken at half their publicised value.

It'll be interesting to see if the PL financial rules will have a bearing on things.

Could trip up a few teams

If they don't have a real name they're never reliable.

Even if they do have a real name they're still most likely full of shit.

Everton hoping they'd lose to City probably wins hands down.

In fairness I'd pick Everton over Utd as I'm not from Liverpool. Most people in Ireland would as well I'd imagine.

Look at Arsenals number of days at the top... talk about our 2 game run without a win as a collapse! If I were a Gunner I'd be apoplectic for letting that slip

I'm sure it will be equally as lollable when utd fans have to choose between cheering for us or City on Sunday.

You would also probably be an idiot to not at least consider the effect injury had on the season though

They are used to it though....they just refer to it as March.

    Yeah Arsenal crumbled badly.

Tough games and injuries came at the wrong time but they ended up sweating over top 4.

I've read otherwise ie the Sheikh could just write a cheque. Obviously it should go through the FFP compliant accounting for three years.

True injuries took their toll, but to be top for half the season ..... (admitedly the wrong half!)

Why would they need to choose when they have clearly already made up their minds?

    ABL and all that.
