    was a server posting 24hr tests , posted a full version instead and little editing on the username and you find more working ones .

    I think we should all be careful about what gets posted on this tread. Its a great resource and it would be a shame if it were to be closed.( we did get a warning a few pages back)

    It's worth knowing how to do this yourself so a few instructions for any new people... On an enigma2 image a file called satellites.xml found in etc/tuxbox stores information about on what frequencies channels are transmitted from satellites your dish is pointed at. It's no harm to update this file every few months or so because otherwise you may not be able to tune in all available channels.

    Assuming you have a dish set up like a Sky dish is:
    Go to http://satellites-xml.eu/.
    In the 'Choose' tab highlight the checkbox alongside --> Astra 2A/2E/2F/Eutelsat 28A (28.2E)
    Scroll to bottom of page leaving all defaults, enter security code and click 'download'.
    FTP this file to etc/tuxbox on your enigma2 image, reboot then re-scan.

    I got myself one of these bad boys this week.just wondering how do you record a programme using android as mentioned previously.what is the name of the app used and can it be used outside of the house to record shows like you can with the sky+ app?

    i have been trying out a few different images the last few days and have noticed my receiver is not showing up on my network on the laptop, i cant remember how it got there in the first place so cant figure out how to get it back! any help with it please?

    Also worth checking if the receiver set up right on your network.. For most images you go into Menu>Setup>System>Network>Adapter Settings to see the receivers IP address. Sometimes doing a 'ReStart Network' then doing the 'Network Test' helps.

    There are a few. But Dreamdroid or VU+ seem to be the better ones.
    To get them to work:
    You need to set a static ip for your box on your network (via your router)
    Set up port forwarding on your router to your box,
    Then set up a dns for yourslf using a service like no-ip or similar, and configure so your router updates.
    Use this dns address in the above apps and you are good to go when out and about!
    this will allow you to stream to your device also (however , you will not be able to stream if you are away from your home network unless you have a really fast upload connection . Also hd channels may not stream smoothly on your home network)

    Can someone tell me how to install mgcamd or cccam on the alien.I have a version of open pli that came preflashed on it.the oscam is absolutely awful.glitching non stop.

    I have tried the plugin pack on a USB stick but it doesn't work.I just keep getting 'no displayable files on this media' message.it's been formatted to fat32 i've also tried a different USB but same thing

    I've been looking at forums all week trying to find a way to just ftp one of the cams over to the box.any ipk file I send over doesn't work

    You'll have to update oscam, cccam does not support dual tuners on Enigma but oscam can emulate it

    in the plugins there are sometimes different versions of oscam in the emu section might be worth activating a different version

    You need to ftp the folders, installing the ipk failed for me.

    I am having the same issues as others with the EPG on V4 .0.8.2 How do I removes this and just run the old version? I am using the old version now but there must some conflict as every morning after the 5AM update its gone again.

    Are you sure you have it directed to your hard drive?

    If not follow this.

    Download filezilla click file,open site manager, click new site and enter the following

    Host:Box IP (e.g. 192.168.1.15)
    Port:Leave blank
    Protocol:FTP
    Encryption:Use plain FTP
    Logon Type Normal
    User:root
    Password:pkteam

    Click connect

    Then navigate to
    /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins
    and delete the CrossEPG folder.

    Then on your pc download this file and extract the usr and var

    When you have them extracted drop the two of them into /.

    A couple of files might fail.If they do try clicking on them and reprocessing them.

    Think thats it!

    Perfect thanks, I had to download it again through the plugins to get it to run, When I did the above I got the same as 0.8.1. I checked the harddisk settings and everything was correct so i'm not sure whats going on. Seems to have worked ok now the test will be tomorrow morning.

    The only thing I noticed now it tunes to a radio channel and updates.
