I've just watched a couple of episodes of Extreme car hoarders that I had on sky+. And I have to say.......what a load of absolute bollix!
I've taken it off series link.

I think it's awful. Most, if not all of these people have serious mental issues that should be addressed by a medical professional rather than forcing them, or coercing them to do something that they regret.

That's not even going near the fact that the work they do is awful.

I've given up on it. Give me Overhaulin' any day over that!

What's getting me is the usual "the style has got to be right" vs "get er done" and omg the budget a la Bernie and leepu, and Jr vs Senior.

If I wanted to hear people argue I could ring my ex wife:rolleyes:

There seems to be some sort of a show on at Turlough hill. Drove past and saw a load of pre-war cars along with newer classics driving down from there. Saw a BMW M1 too

Is there a insurance chart thing somewhere? Just to see which category which cars are in just to give me a rough idea on price.

I want to compare these, to see the prices.
    2.0 N/A MK3 Golf Estate
    1.8 T MK4 Golf Estate
    1.8 N/A MK1 Caddy
    1.8 N/A MK2 Scirocco

All you can do is to call up the companies and go through all list. I did that few times already. Unfortunately there is no proper insurance grading for cars like in UK.

On insurance topic: Got renewal for scooby a week ago. Went up from 699 to 850eu. I was not a happy bunny, called in, made some noise and all they could do is drop it to 740eu... Its still not bad for a scooby as I know people pay a lot more then I do even now, but still, annoyed. The crap is I have no choice. All insurance companies are very friendly up until you say its Subaru Impreza...

We have totally different taste, I didn't think we did since you have a colt, as I like them. But a big no from me on that new list. :)

have to go do a medical examination from a doc for my driving license (D category)

anyone know a good place to do this ? looking around online and prices vary from 50 to 80 euro.

and the cheaper one couldn't spell license correctly on the website either ......

You know what you're looking for is a "licence" though?

Licence is a noun, licensed is a verb

Ie a gun licence gives you license to carry a gun.

I like Jap cars too. I would like a 300ZX, S14, Legacy or a mivec Mirage coupe too.

However I do have a soft spot for old(ish) VW's so most likely that's what my next car is going to be. I would love to own a couple of cars, really... but right now I can't really afford to.

I know what you mean, there is a lot of cars I would like to own but have no money to buy.

    I don't even have a job.:o

Didn't put the lower expansion tank hose on properly... queue a cloud of steam and warning lights on my way up past the hell fire club! Got it sorted very quickly, the joys of DIY! Need to get more coolant and then test it.
