Gutsy performances just don't cut it im afraid, before the first leg we all thought it would be a white wash and Bayern would break all sort of records,

All we can do is look back at Welbeck's miss in the first leg and Rooney's chances tonight and think about what might have been.

Lets finish out the PL season as strong as we can and pray that the real re building work will start in the summer.

How Carrick, Rooney and Evra stayed on tonight beggars belief. The three of them were having rough nights for various reasons and this shows Moyes lack of b**** tonight to take them off.

Moving Rooney all over the place to keep him in the side rather than make the decision to take him off will come to haunt us next season if Moyes stays. Add in the fact that Moyes will have to make room for RVP will only further the problems of our fluidity up front. This will see the likes of Kagawa who has been great when played regularly back on the bench.

Welbeck was class, Evra had a blinder bar losing his man for the goal. Evra let us down? You mean the guy that went and scored a belter. Even if the goal was his fault. Id take him scoring 1 and making us concede one because that 1 goal was an away goal and brought the tie level. Do people just think its fashionable to berate the same players week in week out.

Just he scored one and made us concede 3(3rd be harsh to give him, but he was still pathetic for it)

Having watched Atletico Madrid tonight, Utd shiuld look to replace Vidic with Diego Godin.

    He was phenomenal against Barcelona.

I'm sure he'll happily jump from CL semi-finalists, challanging for La Liga At Madrid for No CL next season, 7th place Man United :P

You'll have to contextualise that for us. I'm guessing you're some distance from that birthday

Evra doesnt have 90 minutes in him anymore. He can concentrate for a full 5 minutes.
    Vidic turns like the luas.
You cant fault any of them for effort there was chances there and on a perfect day they could have won it.
There was a couple of instances around the time of rooneys miss where it was great one touch in their box.
    Anyway cant complain.

evra was excellent tonight right up until he scored, was tired last 20min and who can blame him. had robben running at him all night and was excellent first half. and what a goal he scored, wont see a better one in europe this week and had us leading the tie and an all important away goal. they should have held out though for longer than they did after they scored

Rooney on 300k a week lol
Suarez & Sturridge are ore on 270k combined

United fans know how much Rooney is on and don't care what Suarez and Sturridge are on. Unless you've got something worth discussing then I suggest you don't bother with this thread.

You're good at counting. If Suarez and Sturridge both win the PL this season and next season who'd have more PL medals, those 2 or Rooney?

To be fair, Suarez will be earning that next season at real or psg.

Nah he was playing there today. You mustn't have been watching. Here I'll send you the lineup just to confirm that what you're saying isn't correct.
    Manchester United
    01 de Gea
    04 Jones
    03 Evra Booked
    16 Carrick
    12 Smalling
    15 Vidic Booked
    25 Antonio Valencia
    24 Fletcher (Hernández - 74' )
    10 Rooney
    26 Kagawa
    19 Welbeck (Januzaj - 81' )

    there you go buddy.

Is it a coincidence that it's the same players every week?

Don't forget this is the same panel that said Ronaldo was a chancer even when he was scoring 30+ goals a season!

Rooney was a disgrace tonight, if he was carrying an injury he shouldn't have played. Such a shame as United were doing well for the first hour.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,228 ✭✭✭Gru

I don't get why he didn't sub rooney off as he was clearly off form whether due to the injury or whatever else.

And the same presenter who two weeks ago quoted the following joke from the guardian as a fact:

"The former Manchester United manager David Moyes spent 10 months watching 39,432 players a total of 5,097,301 times, only to sign Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata."

I wouldn't mind it if they ****ed off! ****ing leeches that haven't done anything other than draining the club since 2005.
