    thats not correct
i have always felt he is limited as a football
he is a fox-in-the-box type player - and thats fine.
but he isnt clinical enough to justify a starting position
he would need to participate far more in the game for me to be interested
or suddenly become a one chance / one goal type player
at the minute he is neither - therefore i wont be too distressed to see him join newcastle / west ham / villa / nantes / fiorentina et al

Hey we do not sell to our rivals. West ham can feck off.
Seriously though hed do well there gathering up Carrols knock downs.

Nothing on the Serbian player that was supposed to be announced today yet?

Supposedly just a 17yr old goalkeeper on trial

Are you talking about Frannie Jeffers? Thought he retired?

Small bet Rooney first goal and 2-2 at 220/1.

I might raid my savings and put 1k on that, then sit back and watch it come true. Not only will United be in the semis, but I'll be retiring 37 years early. :D

So long as Rooney doesn't score in the first 20 minutes of course.

@discomirror has Rio dropped with Smalling on with Kagawa and Fletcher starting..

Normally spot on as they reckon Rio is his mole

He's not implying Kagawa playing CM with Fletcher, is he?

If Fletcher and Kagawa starts then I will be happy.

    On a scale of 1 - 5 I'd give that

I presume Carrick will still play?

That's my boy! Unfortunately we wont have Matagawa, but we will have Kagawa being cheered on by Mata so I reckon that counts.

You could not possibly retire on 220K!

Probably a trio of Kag, Fletcher and Carrick, same as the home leg but with Kagawa taking up Giggs position.

He was nearly playing on the left wing, with Welbeck ahead of him.

Maybe he is just 220k short of his retirement fund.

Welbeck and Valencia on the wings, Kagawa behind Rooney

Moyes was talking about keeping and doing more with the ball and I think that setup is the best we have at our disposal

37 years early??? He would've wanted to win the lotto to be able to retire at 28

If Fletcher and Kagawa start what do you think. Would be quite happy with that presuming Rafael and Fellaini are out.

    DDG

    Jones
    Smalling
    Vidic
    Buttner

    Carrick
    Fletcher

    Kagawa

    Valencia
    Wellbeck

    Rooney

Maybe he has worked out that it costs 220k to sloly drink yourself to death.
    :-P

Well la dee da Mr. I-Couldn't-Possibly-Live-On-Around-4k-A-Year, it must be all caviar and Dom Pérignon for each meal at the Macca household!

But uhh... yeah, maybe temporary retirement. Go back to college, start a business, something awesome like that.

One for the optimists. Jesus, I love Manchester United!!

Even though I don't think United will win, I expect each player will be giving his all and hopefully it will lead to a close tie. They will be playing like it's the final whereas there is a possibility again of complacency from some of the Bayern lads.

Its funny how in the space of a week, we went from "Going to be a record beating" to "We can take them on their home turf", all thanks to a draw which the other team dominated in and our reserves beating a poor Newcastle side.

Even getting me optimistic though :P
