I always raise an eyebrow when people claim to get information from "insiders" and that insider ends up just being a fan who goes to a game.

Few lads throw it out here the odd time with some stories from what they've heard from the stadium or from relatives who go to matches.

Is it just me that finds that a touch rubbish, or is there actual substance to it? I fail to correlate how a fan in a stadium somehow has a tap into stuff behind the scenes, that even well connected journalists can't even get a line on.

True, it's the male equivalent of gossiping and bitching, the itk's for transfers an extension of it. Tbh some of these journalists seem to do a lot of guessing and putting 2 + 2 together and make a career out of it!

Give Klopp the money to spend on players hewants, the authority to remove the players he wants and the confidence that he won't be sacked as longas he's moving forward as well as a nice filthy pay packet and he'll be at Old Trafford tomorrow.

The thing with Moyes is that there's no eveidence of anything going forward. We're just tumbling down the table.

You know him well (klopp) yeah? He revealed his deep love for man united while sharing a warm cup of cocoa with you on a wintery November night in front of the fire while watching a video of David Bellions greatest hits?

Funny enough, you only have to look at Paul Lambert at Villa, hes unproven and not exactly doing a great job but you can see his philosophy and hes definitely trying to achieve something new. Moyes looks totally devoid of ideas and inspiration. He seems to have lost his passion.

    Miguel Delaney epitomises this.

I find that there's very few journalists with genuine insightful contacts within the top clubs. You could probably count them on one hand tbh.

Moyes has come into the Mercede's F1 team and replaced the pit crew with the guys from Quickstop; Competent men who can do a job within their own level but are now leagues out of their depth.

In F1 terms, we're more Red Bull Racing than Mercedes......last years champions by a distance, struggling due to a massive change. With David Moyes playing the part of the new V6 Renault engine, which is way behind it's competitors.

Scholes being on Sky is not a coincidence either, now in saying that, what can they really achieve to turn the club around or force Moyes out, I don't know.

I don't really get where this notion that Scholes was on Sky to stir up trouble and wants Moyes out is coming from. He actually said Moyes should be backed on Tuesday.
"You have to," said Scholes. "He's only nine months into the job. You have to stand by him. OK, he's made a couple of signings that haven't quite worked out yet, as he would have liked. In the summer, he's going to need backing - there's no doubt about that. Was he backed as well as he could have been last summer? I'm not too sure. But this summer, he has to be backed - and I think he knows he needs players."

It seems like fans are just choosing to hear what they want to hear, it was the exact same when Roy Keane blamed the players and said Moyes should be backed a few weeks back.

only way to have any chance of getting him (very slim chance) is after the 1/4 final of the cl if they are knocked out by real madrid, the german league is over already so not much to play for (cl place of course), they have lost lewandowski to munich next season so who knows, im just clinching to false hope :o

Agreed. On here, you'll sometimes find posters asking if anyone is at the game and heard any inside info.

Anyone on twitter see the stories about a takeover bid by the class of 92? I think the poor results lately are playing with peoples heads :pac:

We have no hope of getting him. He recently signed a new contract up to 2018. And he signed it knowing well what the situation is in the Bundesliga.

I don't think the story is completely made up - there is something to it - however I'll not personally be getting my hopes up at this point.

Ah lad, i'd say there is as much of a chance of us winning the league this year then anything like that happening.

I'm sure United would have their more trusted journos, same as Liverpool and others. Another thing to remember is clubs will often give journalists the stories they want them to hear, so often with transfers they'll tell them what suits the club, they are "economical with the truth" as they say, so even the club line mightn't even be that reliable!

Yeah, Giggs and Neville might be buying Salford FC. Somebody got confused.

From not being on twitter until very lately - who would be the most reliable papers/journalists historically in relation to United stories?

use £25m of it to pay off Moyes.

Im pretty sure that the Glazers would have inserted some sort of clause that would mean they wouldnt have to pay up Moyes full contract, whatever we say about them they are smart businessmen. I would think the 6 year contract was more a symbolic thing!

What a fantastic strategy. Hey Paul you know the way we want Moyes out, go on air and tell people he needs more time. That'll definitely make them get rid of him.

I find the three most relaible journalists for Utd stories are Mark Ogden, James Ducker and Daniel Taylor! The seem to be spot on! The rest are hit and miss!

Daniel Taylor and Mark Ogden I think.

Also Alex Shaw is worth a follow, not sure how reliable he is but he's opinionated and knows what he's talking about. Wrote for The People, think he left last weekend though.

I do think there is little chance of it actually happening - but the two people on the story are the Suns business Editor and one of the most respected northern based journos - I really don't think they have made this story up.

Just like the 'Red Knights', the plan could be doomed to failure, or to not even get off the ground really, but I do think some of the '92' lot have looked into it, with some very wealthy people.

Ian Ladyman too - Ogden, Taylor and Ladyman are the 3 I would pay most attention to.

Neville and Giggs buying something I've never heard off, was busted around as a MUFC exclusive last night by MEN.

Also some rubbish doing the rounds today that "the class of 92" are fronting a bid to takeover the club, backed by Arab $$$$$$$$

Being doing alot of reading and revision today on things that have gone on. Support for Moyes pretty much gone. If there isn't something coherant against Villa, I'm out.

It's been mooted that it's the Qatar's sovereign wealth fund; the owners of PSG. It has also been mooted that the Glazer's have often received offers but always priced the club too high.
