It's like the ****ing x files in here at times with the theories and reasons for Utds predicament.

Seriously, I think I'm living in an alternative universe at times.

So poor tonight but that's the story of the season.Moyes needs to go,I thought at the start of the season we would struggle but CL would be achieved but I don't think anyone could have seen this season pan out the way it has so far.

Title is a straight fight between City and Chelsea imo nobody else is near good enough.

I think it's unfair to say Moyes is a terrible manager but he just isn't the right manager for United, simple as that. Bring in a proven winner and they'll win, everything is in place for that to happen and accommodate this type of manager and it'd be best to do it sooner rather than later.

Moyes will end up at a team more suited to his ambitions/skill set and United can move on with a truly top manager and the fans will just try and forget this season ever happened.

de Boer has only been in charge of Ajax, Man United is a much bigger club.

United need somebody who has won stuff and they know can manage huge clubs.

The Moyes gamble didn't pay off, de Boer would be another one.

So I think Van Gaal is an obvous choice, even if he is only a 2-3 year solution, he'd get the back in Champions League

See, this is the sort of arrogant ignorance of clubs on the continent i hate and always criticise. Ajax are a huge club, they may not be on our level commercially or in terms of fans but they have four european cups, gave the world players such as Cruyff, Van Basten, Rijkaard, Kluivert, Ibrahimovic, Suarez, Sneijder, Van Der Sar, Davids, De Boer amongst others..It was they who innovated total football and the tiki taka passing game that lives on some forty years later. Ajax are a huge club and certainly not dwarfed by us, simply because they and their league do not have the money to compete with the big guns in europe does not belittle their achievements and place as an elite club in europe.

Also, on that front, De Boer has won all around him at Ajax. Three titles in three years with a fourth likely on the way and a probable double? While losing key players every year and consistently bringing youth through while playing attractive football? They would have been in the knockout stages of the champions league this year as well and receiving more plaudits only for Balotelli cheating them out of it.

I'm sick of people saying that the rest got better and thats the reason Utd have regressed.

At the end of March last season after 30 games we were top on 77pts and City were second on 62pts.
At the end of March this season after 31 games Chelsea are top on 69 pts and we have 51pts.

Contrary to the popular myth the rest have not gotten that much better, simply under Moyes Utd have collapsed.
With last seasons total at this stage of the season we'd be running away with the league again.

Comically short sighted to blame just the manager. If you cant see the effect of losing Giggs & Scholes without replacing then there is a serious lack of perspective in play! Players arent up to it, that midfield is not up to it, that defence is not up to it! Haha, its blindingly obvious to fans of teams who have had a field day in Old Trafford this year. An aging team cannot go on for ever, when the engine blows it can be spectacular.

It aint just Dave folks...Lots of shopping required.

lol ya we lost Giggs and Scholes quite awhile ago, didnt actually stop us winning trophies, did it?

Oh and the Cm hasnt been up for it for a long time either, guess what we won the PL last season with this team

Bobby Charlton reckons he's the right man for the job. He sees him close up every day at training. I reckon he'll get another season and that will be that. Can not see him getting replaced after Season 1

0 - Manchester United now have a PL goal difference of zero at home this season (F18 A18). Vacuum.

    Christ :(

United win the league. All thanks to Fergie.

United add 65m worth of players to the squad, add Januzaj as well. Solid 7th. All the players' fault, Moyes blameless and needs time and money.

It aint just Dave...but he's a large part of the problem and in fairness as Sadler pointed out on RTE some weeks ago, the likes of Rio and Evra were always identified as being past it or not good enough and not regarded as instrumental in the coming years. Yet all of a sudden they're the sole reason we're absolutely ****ing crap? No, not for me anyways.

Saw the game, it felt like City from very early on. Felliani is gash. Serious doubts about him.

    FFS Moyes!

"This is not something that will happen from one Saturday to the next, but will take time."

How about just a small improvement even between August and March?!

So we have take losing Giggs and Scholes (though Giggs is still there...) as a reason for our poor performances - but we can't blame Moyes for going through two windows no realising the same and doing something about it?

So FANS are supposed to see the problems, but accept it is unreasonable to think the manager should have done the same and done something about it?

    BRILLIANT.

THe state man united is in right now is down to Moyes. Fergie had us playing above the standard of the players, moyes has us playing WAY below it.

People say players aren't good enough - maybe we should be looking at the manager and coaching staff to improve the players - like we have seen Coleman and Barkley improve.

Moyes goes to Utd, they fade away whilst Everton get much better.

Moyes was hailed as a great manager at Goodison, yet all those years he was holding them back!!

The press are letting him off so much it's not funny. If it was a foreign manager he would be hounded constantly.

    Joke.

Am I right in thinking that's the quickest goal United ever conceded in the PL era?

Least the fecker is still breaking records.

    Sam Wallace ‏@SamWallaceIndy 54s
Moyes on the 're-building' process at United: 'It's underway in its own way, you don't just suddenly change things around'

    Iain Macintosh ‏@iainmacintosh 7s
@SamWallaceIndy Oh, I don't know. I think if you can say one thing about Moyes, it's that, "he's suddenly changed things around."

I don't know how anybody went into this game thinking utd had "turned a corner" or that they were "in form". Fair enough a lot of people in here said it slightly hesitantly and the whole posativity thing fine. But some other people genuinely believed it! Football fans have a very short memory and in some of the build up to the game its as if people forgot the liverpool game was only a week ago!

    At Old Trafford correct.
