Sony's first GDC talk is starting in 15 minutes, no video (das ist verboten) but there are loads of live blogs.

Will throw stuff up from IGN and Eurogamer.

Virtual reality, he says, is the next innovation from PlayStation "that may well shape the future of games."

Not sure about the "Innovation" of "from PlayStation".

A PS move and some ducktape.

No Video but they've a God of War VR demo, involves first person dismemberment and looking down at your virtual pecks.

Showed a vr version of Datura.

    headset is called project Morpheus

Seems like you'll need the PS eye so that probably means PC compatibility would require work as well as causing issues for us desktop console gamer. Might still be some six-axis in it with the Move functionality just providing position.

    Playable tomorrow at GDC.

Looks similar to the Sony HMZ-T3.

I've worn a HMZ-T2 and it was really uncomfortable. I don't think I'll be bothering with VR to be honest.

Saying it comfortable but that's expected, and that it's (dev unit) 1080p 90+ field of view wearable with glasses.

1000Hz tracking from PS eye over a 3 meter distance from camera, and apparently it's 360 head tracking so must be some lights on back as well.

    Audio

Dust 514 isn't the only time CCP will be slumming it on console they've got Valkyrie being demoed as well as Thief and "The Deep" but no DriveClub.

PS4 only for now, and the dev unit is wired (5m). But no final spec right now, and no standardized API's (no cooperation with Oculus) but there is a possibility for eye tracking.

The new HD Oculus rift dev unit is also 960 x 1080 per display/eye.

In an interview Sony've said $249-299.

God forbid it requires any update, though.

I hedged my bets on VR being a pretty big dissapointment like the WII and Kinect early on.

Good ideas, some niche uses, but overall adds nothing to core gameplay and hasn't hit home as originally thought.

Don't see this being a success to be fair, was pretty underwhelmed with the Rift, and unless it's heavily adopted by a REALLY innovative skilled developement team, it will be just gimmicks and rubbish.

There has been some issues with Canadian post in the last couple of weeks according to one of the site admins, the last 4 things I got from them took 13 days exactly from ship date, but last item I ordered on the 28th of February only arrived today, it usually takes no longer than 10 days though and they were nice enough to give me a discount on my next order seeing how much I have used them.

Probably none, to be fair its a bit of a gimmicky thing that really has no benefit. Who holds a controller in a way they can actually SEE the LED during gameplay?

Touchpad button been a massive disappointment aswell, I was actually under the impression on purchase it was a touchpad, as in could move my finger around it, but it just appears to be a button you press ?

Pretty rubbish for a big button

At the minute there's not a whole lot of use for such a massive button, but it is a touchpad. Games like Trine for example and warthunder take advantage of this.

There has been a surprising lack of Infamous talk... Anyone get it?

Looks to have got good review scores, although my trusted reviewer wasn't as impressed (Sessler)

I should have it from the post but I'm going to struggle to pull myself away from Dark Souls 2.
