    I Break Horses - Chiaroscuro

If dreamy indietronica is your bag then this is well-worth giving a listen.

    Any links?

Have a Nice Life - The Unnatural World

I'm happy enough with the new Have a Nice Life album. It's not a radical departure from Deathconsciousness, but their harsh, depressing, genre-blending sound still sounds great.

St. Vincent's new album is available to listen to now on NPR, and it's excellent.

I wasn't all that into her before, but really loving this.

    Out this Friday I think.

I haven't listened to it yet but I'm very excited about it as I loved their earlier singles.

I loved actor but barely listened to strange mercy. This sounds great.

Slow Skies were the support but I missed them. Gig was amazing anyway; crowd a little too subdued for my liking but I dont think many had a chance to listen to the new record. The songs work so well live. It's weird to me being at a Saint Vincent show and really wanting to dance!

Ditto - Strange Mercy didn't really grab me, but the new one is excellent.

    Phantogram - Voices
If you enjoyed Eyelid Movies will almost certainly enjoy this. Some killer tunes here despite a couple of filler tracks.

    Listen to 'Fall In Love'

    Sun Kil Moon - Benji
I'd already put this album up there with the best Sun Kil Moon/Red House Painters albums. Probably the most personal and painfully honest album that Mark Kozelek has ever written.

Listen to 'I Can't Live Without My Mother's Love

Not very alt/indie but Clare Maguire has a 9 track mixtape on her website that's free to download and well worth listening to.
Her debut album was a disappointment, with three very good pop singles and a whole lot of filler. She seems to have gone in a new direction now with a bluesy singer-songwriter vibe that suits her a lot better. Includes a couple of good covers too.

After listening through a few times in the last 2 days, I completely agree.

I'm fairly meh about this album. It starts strongly, ends fairly strongly too, but there is a large middle section of the album that is unmemorable, and pretty pedestrian IMHO.

That War On Drugs album is 4.99 on 7digital if anyone is interested. Going to check it out.

Neneh Cherry's Blank Project is the best album of 2014 so far imo. And I didn't know about her other than the obvious ones ("Buffalo Stance", "Woman" and "7 Seconds") before listening to it.
