    Went back and started from scratch and found out why rte player had stopped working. It was down to a file used in the newer version of tsmedia. I set back up my image with the tsmedia 4.4 and all works fine.

    Only other changes in this image are an updated version of the sky skin and a sky spinner.

    Yeah that the one i used alright.

    The time stamp on the extracted folder was 3rd march and the name of the folder had "rte player working" or something like that in the title.

    Tried it 3 or 4 times and it green screened on me each time.

    I checked out ts media too, 1channel in there seems to have limited choice of movies. Anyone notice that?

    Yeah, I found the same, not many links to the movies.

    I have to say TechGuy's image is working the best (for me anyway) of any of the images so far. I had problems getting Saorview channels on other images, I had problems getting RTE player to work but not so TechGuys.:cool:

    Download and install dcc, (Dreambox control centre) from Google. Input ip addresses where applicable.
    Username :root
    Password :pkteam (for thetechguys image) :openarp (for Championc image)

    When you connect to your box, press ftp,then click etc and edit the file in question.

    The one I used is from this post, it may not be the latest but it works better than the one you included in your image as it gives the channels the right Sky channel numbers in the various bouquets, not just in the first 28.2 UK Bouquet. So open the sport bouquet Sky sports 1 will show 401 etc

    The creation of the bouquets is all down to the menu options you pick. So you can make the new version do what the old one did - it was my preference to exclude numbers.

    The new version takes just less than one minute to run so there's every reason to run with the latest version.

    No, the new one is bugged and does not perform in the same way as the old version. With the old one when I open the Sport bouquet I see Sky Sports 1 with 401 the way it should be, I also have numbered turned off in Autobouquets as I do not want to add the number before the channel name as the channel number is displayed by the interface anyway. The old version only takes less than a minute also, the only thing added in the new version is the ability to customise the picon location

    Please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong forum but I am sure that many of you have a NAS and have overcome my issue.

    Can anybody help viewing my movies that I have stored on a Synology NAS.
    I am using Enigma 2 . I have mounted the NAS. I can listen to the music i have stored, no problem.
    I can find the movie directories but there does not appear to be any file to play.

    What's the handiest way to edit the Favourites (TV) list in TTGs latest image?
    I'm looking to remove all the subscription channels from it.
    Is it dreamboxedit?

    Edit: Right I figured it out, FTP the contents of /etc/enigma2 onto local machine and edit them there.
    Then I presume you just re-upload them to the Linux box after they have been edited?

    Last question regarding TTGs image, has anyone found that the box hangs when browsing thru the plugins, specifically TSMedia?
    The only way to get control back of the box is to powercycle?

    lads im gettin this when i try receive files on the laptop from my box usin dreamboxedit, its a sab on champs arp, any ideas what im doin wrong, sortin me channels is the last thing i want for now! Connected.
    Dreambox response: Login successful.
    ** Retrieving file list of "/var/tuxbox/config/enigma/" **
    Starting FTP transfer
    Transfer complete
    ** Retrieving file list of "/var/tuxbox/config/enigma/" **

    Transfer complete
    Neither a "services" nor a "lamedb" file was found in directory "%" on the Dreambox. /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/

    i havnt a clue what i pointed at, i just created a directory called C:\dreamboxedit and then clicked on "receive files from dreambox" that make any sense?

    In DreamBoxEdit Options, what path on the Linux box are you pointing to for "Services and Bouquest files"?
    Mine is pointing to /etc/enigma2.


    As TS media is crashing my box, does anyone know if this TS media upgrade could be applied to TTGs image and if so which one should get applied (2.0.5 or 1.6.5?)

    After the itvHD free to air frequency change I've lost the picon for it. I ran rats picons plugin but the picon didnt update. Any ideas much appreciated. I've got alien 2 running Hyperion v3

    cheers yeah that worked! i changed the path and received all the files to my laptop, i cant figure out which ones are HD though? there are multiples of each channel?

    If your not worried about RTE Player then use the oe2.0 version from above.

    Anyway to have the box come out of standby to record a program?

    Even when recording and you put the box into standby it cancels the recording that's taking place at that time.

    Just wondering if there's a way to fix this without having to leave the box on 24/7 for recording?

    hi in your dreamboxedit you should change your paths from /var/tux/config/enigma to /etc/enigma2 and /etc/tuxbox
    have a look at this vid and fast forward to 4:09 to see his settings.
    the architecture is different for the dreambox. this is the biggest problem with getting so many dreambox plugins and software to work, but i don't think it'll be long before it's addressed.

    Yeah my box does a green screen each time I open RTE player on TTGs image. Says something about "contacting somebody who cares :-)"
    It also hangs a lot when browsing thru plugins, especially TS Media.

    If I re-apply the image again can I easily restore the bouquets I edited with DreamBoxEdit?
