Well I know what I'll be doing for the next while. Dad was down at the shore at part of his (fragmented) farm, no stock in there at the moment. There's 220 meters of fence completely destroyed, "devastation" was the word he used. So we'll start cleaning up the wreckage tomorrow. Hope I can get the lend of that quad to bring in the stakes and wire as it's nearly 900 meters to the road over rough ground. Was just looking at the place on Google Earth and indeed the location was completely exposed to the worst of the waves.

Did ye know....... if ye're on Chrome and Facebook, you can use the zoom function to read the front pages of the Journal and Indo on their previews ;)

And just as I read that "...There are unanswered questions such as the required stocking rate, particularly for the hill sheep sector, which loses it's coupled payment".

painted doorframe of kitchen door with red gloss today. this leads to the back porch. Sister ruined her coat with the paint, son ruined his uniform jumper with paint , any ideas how to get it off

Nail bar would be fairly handy for taking the door frame off

Really need to think about setting up a calving camera here. Last night checked a cow at 2, then at 8. Tonight it's the same. Grand for me, throw on whatever is closest, pull on boots, 5 min jog to the shed.
The auld fella takes about half an hour:o
We have a house roughly 25mt from the shed (if even that)
Would a wired one from that to the shed be feasible?
Then via router to this house as that's what we do currently.
