Let me clarify about the calving camera situation.
We have a house which we renovated that is very close to the shed.
It is in direct view of the parents house as the crow flies!:)

A jog (whilst nice) down a hill, i a muddy lane and back again every 6 hours is tiring
Cow I'm watching changed in 3 hours last year, wildest cow in the place so cannot feel her at all. 2 ft is the closest I can get to her. She was due on xmas eve so I'm just a wee bit worried.

J-F christ so do I. Only used the bull a few times before and got 2 sets of twins within 24 hours last year!
Although it's to do with the cow, we were very confussed!

With a ch in a sm and a difficult cow to handle at how many days would you induce her? KM how many days did she go last year, and did she calf herself?

    [MOD]

A bunch of posts about metal detecting deleted.

The person who brought up the subject is entirely aware that there is a raft of legislation and regulations on the possession and use of metal detectors in Ireland, but they chose to not mention any of that when they appeared here looking for land to engage in their activity.
    Official Warning issued.

There is a big thread on the subject over in the Archaeology forum:
The principal Laws on Archaeology and Metal Detecting in Ireland.
Read the Archaeology forum charter BEFORE posting anything on the subject over there.

Several times over the years we talked about inducing, but we never actually do it. I've seen a few cows go over 300 days. 302 I think is the longest we've had. The BA can bring a bit of time. I suppose if everything looks healthy it one thing, but if you feel there's something not right its another!

i had to induce a AA X cow a week early last year as she was down in the shed, calf was fine and cow up after so all turned out well, the one and only time I have done it
