Haven't been over that side for a while... I might have to try it!

I told my girlfriend I'd loose the belly for the holidays though. :(

Edit: Can't bait some KFC chips, wrapped in chicken skin and dunked in gravy!! :D

KFC Chips? Literally the worst of all crappy fast food chips. Taste like soggy cardboard.
I think you'll find that the likes of mcdonalds are worse.

Yeah, I'm dying to get a look at the window motor in my Roadstet before it really starts to freeze and the slightly damp seat turns to a lump of ice!
    Stuck pulling wires elsewhere though.

I hope it's only a dodgy cable, must rob a soldering iron off someone and have a crack at it at the weekend.

Well ended up not getting tinting done yet as apparently its an all day job.

Got software update (took 3h or so ugh)

    s9ln.jpg

Parked up on the dyke road to load the map (40 minutes or so with key to on position) went to start car and she was dead :p

Oh dear not a good start, turns out a neighbour worked across the road (Thanks Francis) who lent me a booster pack and i was soon off down the road experiencing the guts of 300bhp

    (yay) with zero clutch slip

One exam down one to go!

Went to price a few bits for the saab today, more exactly, air, fuel, cabin and oil filters, oil or liquid gold as i'm now referring to it as. 0W30 and 5W30 are pricey items! Got some gasket sealant too, for a little plan down the road, annnnnnd a fog light bulb for a euro :) Next on the list is, alloys, tires, bonnet lifters, and a front splitter

    Busyness and poverty await! :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,585 ✭✭✭ba_barabus

In other news a loose connection set off my low oil warning today...........I fully expected history to repeat itself but thankfully it didn't.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,585 ✭✭✭ba_barabus

And those waffles look nice :pac:

    That sounds steep tbh.

Oil i use (need 7 litres or so) is like 45e for 5l and thats 0W40 Mobil 1

If you only need 5l of oil (might be abit more for a 2.3l even if a 4 pot) im sure you can find a generic halfords type 5w30 for under 35 quid

Also don't forget the 10% off voucher you can print off which leaves you 3-4 quid for sweets !

Mobil 1 New life is good stuff im sure the 5w30 equivilant is good stuff too and would be in a 5 litre jug @ 40 or so

    Edit: let me check

    151590?$PDP_MAIN$

http://www.halfords.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_11101_catalogId_15551_productId_723401_langId_-1_categoryId_212419 or Castrol Magnatec it seems -10% is like 28 quid.

Doubt you need 0W30 oil tbh unless the car is remapped ?

Also 10% off voucher link (Print afew) although they always give me the one i use back :p

This. That Mobil 3000 5w30 (ford spec for me that exact one) is the absolute sh!t :) The last service for the focus I used that oil and I think it transformed the car. More economical and just smoother and quieter engine seems happier :pac: And it had nothing to do with the fact it was serviced as I service it every 10k km anyway so it's not like the oil was bad that was coming out of it. So it's definitely that oil. I always used castrol before. But I'd put nothing else in the focus after using it. I couldn't recommend it enough. And 28 euro is alright money for it too.

@suppergurrier nice one on the voucher certainly handy to have a few printed out. And this way I won't have to keep taking my dads axa card :pac:

I've got an axa card too, so if i use this with the voucher....does that mean?? GET ALL THE DISCOUNTS! :pac:

I was just thinking that. I was in halfords 2 weeks ago and got some stuff in bargain section autoglym polish and screenwash. All reduced to about 1/3 of there price went up and didn't expect them to take the axa card considering they were sales items but the guy took it no problem and gave me the discount :) I find halfords staff to be fair enough in general. I only discovered my dad had an axa card 2 months ago. Which he had had in his wallet for 2 years and never knew what it was for. The amount of stuff me and him bought in halfords at full price and he going around with an axa card.

And that is a good question. I've yet to plan my next move :o

This dry weather better hold up, have shocks to change tomorrow.... I'll take anything but wet weather. Anything but piss piss piss. I absolutely hate working outside in the rain but if I have to I have to :)

Tis slippery out up here, be careful you lot :) I wasn't rude on the roads I swear :D

On a completely unrelated note, I need 2 back tyres.... Again  I should stop using those crap tyres I have lying about :pac::pac::pac:

But if I don't use them, they'll just go to waste. Can't have that sure.... ;)
