If you're going to buy Nankangs at least get NS2's. They're supposed to be OK. You could probably get rain experts for the same money which are very very good :)

I did :P But the thought of them going to crap or blowing is slowly starting to creep up on me and it's not nice

    Haha.
Yeah I have the carina off the road until I get around to servicing it. I'll have to pickup some part worns or something for it - they are beyond illegal at this stage they are plain dangerous :P (mine are anyway)
I would say that they are below 0.5mm (and are 0.0mm in a lot of places :P )

The problem I would have with buying online is where do you get the tyres fitted afterwards?

If I can then great but I'm only going to be using them for around three weeks, if i could get part worns, even better

90% of places will do it if you already have them bought.

Shure there is almost 100 in it for fitting balancing and alignment should you opt for it.

    Excellent.
I never bought tyres online as I didnt think people would fit them afterwards.
Any tyre fitting places in Dublin seemed offended when I asked :pac:

Nah them guys are really good, any time i've needed work done they have it done before i even sit down :pac: it's rare you get such a good vibe off a place like that, like you can chat with them while theyre working and stuff, obviously not in the garage but you can stand out at the doors :pac:

Don't think I've ever posted this up lads and I don't think it suits the youtube thread as a proper motor videos only kind of place.

This is another of the friend's videos, same as where the Volvo one came from!

You never know just who you may be ringing from donedeal :)

This will turn out like Andrew Gallaghers Focus in England :)
Just don't know when to stop :)

By the way man I came across a set of rear coilovers at home but I don't think they will transfer between the normal focaii and the st's :(
Other than that ya could've had them!

Quick question for ye that are more in the know about cars than I am. The Yaris develops an annoying vibration when travelling at speeds around 130kph. Would this suggest that the tracking is out or worn tires or something different entirely?

might just need to get them balanced, i had that with my car and when they were balanced it was fine, cheap to do and all :)

See what condition the tyres are in first

Thread on them is alright but I think the rears are almost near their use by date(about a year or so left).

Yeah I think the current plan will be to get 4 new tires thrown on as well as get it tracked and balanced and see if that sorts it, shouldn't cost too much all in.

Should have a pic somewhere but one rear tyre on the fathers van went into an s shape ie it bulged out significantly one day despite having plenty of thread

Jack it up and just rotate the wheel, see what its like :)

If it's wheel imbalance it should be most noticeable at 55-60mph.

Haha went into Mr waffle there for a snack while waiting for car and ordered three waffles with maple syrup and a tea(thinking they would be fairly small).

Almost 17 quid and her wan comes out with three plates with waffles the size of my face and enough maple syrup to bathe in.

    /challenge accepted
