My favourite unsolved mystery is waking up every Sunday morning, looking out the window and wondering how the car got home.

Looks like another mystery sorted. Flight 19 that went missing in the Bermuda Triangle has been solved.
On BBC4 documentry this evening they found the five planes on the sea bed. Looks like the pilots lost their bearings and flew until they ran out of gas and crashed into the sea.

But the associated time loop phenomenon still exists.

But the associated time loop phenomenon still exists.

EDIT- I've checked for news of the discovery of these five planes online, nothing came up, I don't think this report is true.

Please check your facts before posting. It seems you've confused these modern type documentaries 'we solved the mystery with our bogus theory with no real evidence from our expert' with reality.

5 planes were found in 1991. But they were not flight 19. I don't think those planes have being found. Yet!

    Elisa Lam
The Mysterious Case of Elisa Lam

There are mysteries that are so eerie and strange that they boggle the mind for days on end. The case of Elisa Lam is one of them. In February 2013, this 21-year-old student from Vancouver, Canada, was found dead inside the Cecil Hotel’s rooftop water tank in Los Angeles. The L.A. County Department of Coroner ruled the death “accidental due to drowning” and said no traces of drugs or alcohol were found during the autopsy. However, there is much more to the story than what is implied by police reports. The first piece of evidence that needs to be considered is an elevator surveillance tape that recorded Elisa’s behavior only a few moments before she lost her life.

The four-minute video posted on YouTube shows Elisa pressing all of the elevator buttons and waiting for it to move. Seeing that the elevator doors are not closing, starts behaving extremely bizarrely. Here’s the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TjVBpyTeZM

At first, Elisa enters the elevator and apparently presses all of its buttons. She then waits for something to happen but, for some reason, the elevator door doesn’t shut. She starts to look around, as if she is expecting (or hiding from) someone. At 1:57, her arms and hands start moving in a very strange matter (almost not human) as she appears to be talking to someone, something … or nothing at all. She then walks away. The elevator door then shuts and appears to start working again.

Right after the events of the video, Elisa apparently gained access to the rooftop of the hotel, climbed to its water tank and, somehow, ended up drowning in it. Her body was found two weeks after her death, after hotel guests complained about the water’s taste and color. Incredible.
Seeing the surveillance footage, most people would conclude that she was under the influence of drugs. However, Elisa did not have a history of drug use and her autopsy concluded that no drugs were involved. When one looks at the context and the circumstances of this death, things become even more mysterious.

The rooftop area was protected by an alarm system, and the water tank was reportedly difficult to reach. So how did she get up there undetected? And how did she close the lid to the water tank after herself?

Shortly after the discovery of Elisa Lam’s body, a deadly outbreak of tuberculosis occurred in Skid Row, near Cecil Hotel. You probably won’t believe the name of the test kit used in these kinds of situations: LAM-ELISA.

The Oak Island Money Pit in Nova Scotia has been a site for over 200 years of digging for treasure but in all the digs inevitably either someone dies or the pit gets flooded.

As an aside to that case, bizarre as it is...could you imagine how the residents of the hotel (who complained about the water) felt when they found out WHY the water was discoloured/tasted funny?? Awful. I'd probably never drink water again if it were me :(

I wonder will they ever find out what happened to that poor woman.

She had bipolar disorder (fact) and was having an episode. She took a turn and went up to the roof with who knows what on her mind and drowned herself.

Another clip on YouTube claims there are 54 seconds missing from the tape after she is last seen.

    It's an interesting case alright.

There are a few things making it very suss though. Firstly they said to get to the tank she had to get pass an alarmed and locked access door as well as an alarmed sensor roof. Some say the hotel has another unalarmed access ladder.

Now if there is such a way to get there undected, how did she get into the tank and mange to close a heavy lid that took a couple of guys to open? Some reports even say it had to be cut open.

There is also the fact she was found naked and not a single item of clothing was found there, surely something would be left behind if she did this herself, I find it very hard to think all her garments blew away, especially shoes.

Eerily, if you research the hotel in question, the Cecil Hotel, it has a disturbing history. It was home to numerous suicides, as well as two serial killers over the years  It was also reported by some to be the last place the Black Dhalia was seen before her murder in 1947.
