I have been using Hyperion 3 recently which seems to solve my problems - tunes correctly and is much faster than Hyperion2 opening the epg

You need to change the setting in autobouquets to not rerun itself nightly, or you could look at using the custom files.

For hyperion 3 I put it in my dropbox folder:

I found it very easy to set up - no need to add satellites.xml for 28.2E - the only thing that I added was Autobouquets. I like the GraphicEPG that starts with the epg button, (this can easily be changed to CoolTVGuide from the blue pannel - no multiquickbutton)
though I still can't figure out how to change bouquet when in it!

Compared to Championcs image (which is hyperion 2) you are using it is much faster to load epg, the clock on the front works without going into deep standby and the GraphicEPG has program descriptions for sat channels (CoolTVGuide doesn't)

This is a new install - not my image, it is PK-teams download

You will need to set it up yourself from scratch.
you will need to add picons and autobouquets yourself, CooltvGuide is available from the plugin menu once it is loaded as can TSMedia and more

If there is demand I could post at backup of my image - I need to sort out my picons for saorview first

My Alien (running Championnc's latest image) has become so laggy that it's virtually unusable. tried a few images but I'm getting the same problem. Maybe I can do some sort of reformat and start afresh? At the moment I've the box running Spark, which it does without any issues, but I miss the 7 day epg and "look" of enigma.

Try Hyperion 3 ,its the best image by far and rock solid.
I have been running it for nearly a month ,it's brilliant .

Didn't people use to advise flashing the same image a second time which seemed to help with lag? Make a backup of your channels and bouquets in DBEdit first.

Alternative is to try setting up your own image from scratch.

Just checked it and it seems correct - files PKT and sh4_duckbox_project as well as the enigma2 directory

if people want to try their own image i would guess that I was able to watch tv with about 1 hours work (scanning takes the time) there is a wizard that sets up most of what you will want

I have set up a number of images in the last few weeks and am coming to the conclusion that the worst offender to performance is the Multiquickbutton plugin, I only discovered the keymap system at the weekend when trying Hyperion 3.

Apologies for asking a noobie question folks.

I'm running a Golden Media Spark Triplex, and have used this thread loads of times for help.
Box is working fine for satellite but I cannot get the saorview tuner to find any channels. Tried manual and automatic scan.
Anyone have any suggestions, or ideas what I might be doing wrong.
I've a powered one for all indoor aeriel connected, works fine when connected directly to the TV but I'd rather run it through the box so that I can record.

Any help appreciated.

Running the Hyperion v3. It's not detecting the hard drive for recording and there's an icon saying full on the display. Any ideas?
