Jap paint is ****e compared to german. You'd probably take it back to primer with a heavy cut pad :pac:

That's great news cos I've a bunch of wussy pads I got with the DA that I never got to use on the BM, Thats a cost saver right there :pac:

Jap paint is very soft compared to German. Even though it took me 30 hours to fully correct the MPS which was in a bad way, It took me about 25 hours to get the 335 to where it is now and it wasn't that bad at all!

I got new microfibre cutting and finishing pads today along with a yellow hexlogic pad which is even firmer than the orange one.

Least the Colts paint will only take a quarter of the time the 325 did to correct, unless Jap paint is thicker than BMWs in which case it can fcuk right off!

Jap paint is sneezed on by mice it most definitely wont be thicker.

Nothing changed here I see... Poor japs being abused and Germans being praised!

Now even paint is worse, what's next? German car glass is clearer then japs? :pac:

I will have to think long and hard before posting in the Awards nomination thread.

Japan is the word leader for automotive coatings and it's products are used by most high end marques. That being said, a Jap manufacturer may employ cheap paint or might go the GT-R route....

I think it is ok once you don't mention the actual posters or discuss them
If not, I stand to be corrected by the mods of course!

Got my new upper control arm fitted today, thanks George Dalton!
Drove to carlow and back home, sans rattle, it was great:D

Edit, one of the inner bushings was completely fooked after 10K km, different make fitted now, hope it lasts longer!

Thanks for the clarification. Its nice that someone has finally given it.

Moving on anyway before I get banned again for partaking in such a discussion.

I'm currently trying to decide if I should keep the Vectra or invest in a better car. So far this has cost me nothing and hasn't broken. That's a record for me which goes some way to showing how good this car is.

The real pressing issue is the t/belt needs to be done very soon. Last done at 45k miles and its approaching 90k.

Still I'm hoping to spend money on a trip to Thailand next June and a few other things. Makes sense to keep it. Its a funny car, I don't like or hate it. I'm very indifferent towards it.
