Exactly! A 125 stroker and my quad (500 4 stroke) are dead even in a drag race until the bike runs out of gears, so obviously I need something faster :D

A 250 stroker dirt bike is about the sweet spot for me....
Enough power to spin the back wheel, keeping the front rising just grabbing gears as fast as you can while giggling like a loon

I have only one bike left around the place (4 quads) an old DT175 thats been bored out to 200.

Edit: 4stroke dirt bikes are fun too, but you cant beat the 'power band' rush :)

Ha Pred I never knew this wild side of you :D

I have tried the 4 strokes but I just love the bang of power from the 2's :)

Also it's great how simple they are to work on, my RM250 makes 53bhp and that will lift the front wheel in third when you come into the powervalve, bites like a B*tch :)
If your ever near you're more than welcome to a spin!

The 4 strokes are more reliable allright I only ever needed 1 rebuild in 6 seasons!

Although for 3 10 min races on a sunday, I often spent all day sat getting her ready.

At the moment its dead as a maggot I think I fried the voltage rectifier by shorting out the stator:mad:
Its hard to check anything coz all the cables are wrapped. And the vortec ignition system doesnt help either.

I never raced Pred, just a past time for myself!
I've ruined a few CDI's and rectifiers in my time.
    What did you race Pred?

    Motocross on a polaris predator.
I only did 1 full season (pesky work used to get in the way) but I raced for about 6 years. Did alot of endurance stuff too. Always in the production class, modified classes were too expensive.

    Gratuitous bike shot:D

More than welcome guys, when I get her going I'm only too happy to have someone to play with :D
Ive got a mazda 323 too.

Voodoo imagine a go kart with a 500 cc single in it, its got a solid rear axle so the only way to steer is with your arse, if a turn gets too tight and you think its not gonna make it, the only option is open it up:D

There is no feeling in the world like hitting a big jump flat out in 4th.

And for people who like an exhaust you should hear 20 of these going off the line:cool:

Its what they seem to go for, same as the Supras but as nobody is willing to spend that kind of money it does seem a bit dreamer like. I got mine landed and Vrted for less than 5k but for a factory manual you would want to add about 2k to that price.

Yeah, you could post your Carina in there, at least it would be deserving of the title. ;)

Fcuk all your professionalism, when my parents got a house in Spain in the countryside first thing i did was buy the cheapest powerful quad i could find and race it around the dirt-tracks on the mountain tracks :D
a powerful quad with a passenger using a lead pellet rifle leads to much troublemaking :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,295 ✭✭✭Supergurrier

Been a long process, going to see the Colt czt Thursday, work at christmas time isnt making things easy. If i see it Thursday and the garage gives it the all clear Ill buy it.
If not, then I reckon Ill buy a mk2 punto till i see something I actually want cos theres really nothing interesting me other than the Colt.
The engineer from Axa is ringing me tomorrow to give me an offer for the 325, let much counter offering begin!

Least the Colts paint will only take a quarter of the time the 325 did to correct, unless Jap paint is thicker than BMWs in which case it can fcuk right off!
