I'd go with, original anti-static sleeve wrapped in bubble wrap, in the original box in a larger box. No I don't trust couriers. :P

The PC came built though you see,so don't have any of that stuff,I did buy a box and roll of bubble wrap though and was gonna just put a load of crunched up paper in the box.

What do ye think ? :p

I get relatively frequent screen tearing. Is this due to my overclock, or could it be something else?

It seems to have subsided a lot in the past two days as MSI Afterburner has expired (I don't know why, but haven't re-downloaded it yet)

I get screen tearing if I duplicate the screen over both my TV and monitor. Both are at 1080p with 60Hrz refresh rate. If I have two displays, with my monitor as my primary display and my TV as secondary, it works fine.

Sharkoon skiller + perixx mx-2000 or sharkoon drakonia mouse is a good combo for around €45.

Got quoted these when I asked about budget mouse + keyboard.
I think I would like a back lit KB but only if it can be turned off. Anyone want to weigh in with some recommendations please?
As always any help is much appreciated.

As is Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Mod, which is fantastic. The mod is free on steam you just have to own Just Cause 2 (Which is €2.99 at the moment - 80% off).

6000 player servers! Watch the video on the steam page to get a sense of it :)

I can't recommend a keyboard, but I can throw in against the Skiller. I bought one and replaced it after a week. One of the poorest keyboards I've used, lower on my scale than many laptop keyboards. In particular, the keypresses are extremely clunky. The software supplied is also disasterous, pulling context to it when the hardware keys are pressed.

    Question for yas:

I've never kept track of it, so I'm not sure, but how much of a drop (if any) on computer parts is there after Christmas, with the sales and all?

Thinking of a 780 upgrade, with a few other bits. Wondering whether to order now or wait the few weeks.

Have to say i've never noticed any sort of sales or drop in prices after Christmas ever.

Prices are pretty good right now. I got a 4670K on Amazon for 185 delivered yesterday, and a 290 for 363 delivered from Dabs last week. Can't see them dropping much further after Christmas...I think with the amount of online competition, when you shop around you always find bargains regardless of the time of year.

Linus tech tips seems ok. I copied a system build from Tom's Hardware last year when I built mine, but they don't have video.

Something about the way he throws 500$ components around makes me not like him

He does explain things simply enough, which I like, as I haven't built a machine in over 10 yrs (prob going back to 98/99)

Yeah, he explains things well, but don't do what he does in regards to handling..

Android programming is seriously confusing stuff lads..

I'm no stranger to Java by any means, but I haven't touched Android before.. Feeling slightly overwhelmed :o

There's a bit of a learning curve alright. Are you following a book?

No, but you're the second person to recommend one.. I've read one or two 'basics' guides and watched a few youtube clips but I'm still stumped on how to start.

I didn't think it would be this confusing, since I have experience in Java. It's for my final year project.

I found this guy to be very good for the basics. If you're familiar with arrays and variables, you can probably skip over parts of it but see how the new syntax fits in with android.

I'd say go a for book, so. I used an O'Reilly book and the SDK/ADK docs to get up to speed. I was working on the hardware side, though, so I don't know if it's the best solution for app development. Also, I think some people prefer the actual books, but they're probably not necessary.

    He's quite helpful actually. Thanks.

Shame it's done on a mac but it seems pretty much the same anyway.

Just got an email from GeForce Advisory Panel. I've filled out four or five surveys for them in the past year. Their findings of all those reasonably thorough surveys?

"The most anticipated game of the year is: Battlefield 4!"
    and
"Almost all of our participants are aware of SHIELD."

    Good job NVIDIA, good job.

I'm ordering some watercooling junk, and Specialtech are all out of 1/2-3/4 clear tubing (that isn't ridiculous). Anyone have any spare?

Would it work for my Crucial (M4 ---> my new EVO)?
