Got the 4.3 update on my unlocked Vodafone One yesterday. One thing i'm baffled by, I had my lockscreen set as just the wallpaper with shortcuts and the clock, not widgets or anything. Now my phone has 2 arrows in the top right which if I swipe over reveals Dashclock widget which I had used months ago. Thats not a big deal I thought but now I can't find how to change the lockscreen back? Used to be Settings>Personalisation>Lockscreen but the lockscreen option has now disappeared from this menu. Very confused :-/

    Meteor.

Ive had it. It definitely downloaded couple of weeks ago. I watched it in work and said it to the lad beside me to check his s4 as my htc had got it.

I am perplexed by this. Perhaps it didnt install fully.

    hmmmm

The latest update was a Sense 5.5 update and not an Android version update.

Got the update & the ability to have a slideshow of your photos as the lock screen seems to be gone.

The right swipe for editing Blinkfeed is handy (as is the ability to just turn it off if you prefer)

Anyone find their battery life is worse since the update? Down 10% after and hour or so with very little use!

I found that mine was terrible for a couple of days after the update, but it seems to have normalised now.

No, but I do find certain features slower. The keyboard in particular, albeit Google Keyboard, takes much longer to pop up than before.

Same as that. Depending on what I'm doing, I can get up to 48 hours between charges. This usually drops down to about 24 at weekends when I might be doing more CPU intensive stuff like gaming, but on average I'm getting about 36 hours between charges with about 4 hours screen time.

for some reason "Android System" seems to be constantly running at over 90% for battery usage, is this normal?

It would be normal if you weren't doing much with the phone. What I mean is, if it's on standby most of the time, just idle, then the only thing that can really consume battery is the system itself.

Check out the GSam Battery Monitor app, it's free and it's really good at helping you identify what's going on.

I found a big culprit was the google play services, which was running an update check almost constantly. Easy fix, though, just restart your phone to kill that off.

Is there any way of customising Blinkfeed to get rid of specific sources?

Particularly crap like the "International Business Times". It doesn't show anywhere on the list of sources, but keeps popping up in the feed with badly mangled English.

Some of the tech sources are dire too, you'd almost imagine HTC were choosing their sources on the basis of payments rather than quality.

Bought a second hand HTC one. Just figured out there that it's on a custom Rom. It's there anyway I can revert back to the HTC stock Rom and just get HTC over the air updates.

Great phone btw. Some upgrade from the s2

Getting fed up with battery on this phone. Plugged it in at 2pm (50% battery). It's now 5.30pm and it's still on 50% due to me browsing web etc. I just seen it go from 51% to 50% whilst plugged in since 2pm. I'm only browsing web and playing a few games. Is this norm? Did not have sane issue with iphone...

Are you saying you are trying to charge it while using it?

Don't charge it while using it, or any other smartphone for that matter. It'll gimp the battery and often give false displays of the % on the battery.

My average battery is 1day 9 hours before it needs a charge.

What you plugged into? PC or power point on wall? Way slower charging via USB on a computer...

Yes using it whilst it's charging. Didn't know that was bad practice? Can't see a way around it if you need to use it whilst charging.
Is always plugged into HTC mains charger for charging.
Is it ok to use samsung micro chargers lying around the place?

I use the car charger, the HTC wall charger and an old Samsung one, whichever is nearest to me at any time. I don't think it relaly matters, as I believe the phone pulls the charge down at it's own rate so the make of charger shouldn't matter. (The car does charge it more slowly, tbh, though)

Anyone know how to make the "done" button while texting landscape send. It used to be like that on mine now it's not. So to send a message I typed landscape I have to turn portrait and open keyboard to get send button.

Came in to post this. I find it about 20% worse. I charge mine in work, take it off mains at 5 and coming back into work the next day it would never be below 50%. Since the update and with little use in the evenings I've noticed that first thing in the morning its down at around 30%.
