I would say the delay with Amazon is that they are still not 100% sure how much stock they will have for launch and are pushing back the date to buy themselves some time.

I was told by Amazon CS that by this Thursay 14th they will have a better idea on my Solus pack delivery date, so i'm guessing they will have most bundles sorted for those that ordered early and they'll see what left Solus wise by that date.

I ordered in limerick.. I work next door to them and the day I ordered they had 5 free stock left for launch day.

Where did you pre-order mate? I pre-ordered in swords about 3 weeks ago as well. After been told I was def getting one on launch day, I have now been told im not:)

Some amount of bull going on. Where did you pre-order?

If it was the killzone bundle I think you have grounds for asking for a launch day console as they were saying they had them available on facebook last week.

Will the DLC on those games work with our PSN or do you have to have an asian PSN account?

We are not sure with as regards the PS4, if it is the same as the PS3 then yes you would have to set up a Asian account to get the DLC and you would need to use a Asian billing address as well.

There the US copies and i never EVER buy DLC anyway (I think the only DLC i ever got was what ever is free with the game and Rock Band DLC) so i really don't care if the DLC works or not

Worst comes to the worst i will have to set up a US acc to download the DLC witch is no problem what so ever

The old PS3 system was console based and allowed you to have 2 PS3 play the content from your account so that you could allow you main Irish account play it or any family members play it, but the new system has a home and guest access.

If you want to play on your main account or allow another person to play the DLC on their account this can only be done on a single home PS4, and if you want to play on another PS4 whether it's a second one in a family or at a friends house it will need to be your purchasing account you play on (unless they've the content and it's their home console you're playing on).

I've got 2 PS3s and this means that it's worth my while to buy digitally but if I do this with a US account then my family can only use the main home console with their separate accounts and on any second PS4 it'll have to be my purchasing account; the second PS3/ps4 is/will be just mine and that means as I'll need the first console to be the home one I'll have to play on multiple account dependant on content region.

Ordering from Asia or the US is far cheaper but for me it'll lead to other problems, and it's better to just buy off cheaper EU based web sites (still better than Gamestop).

I called into the local Xtravision and asked about the PS4 and a midnight opening.. they said they didn't know. They also didn't know about the camera or what games would be available at launch. Hopefully I will find out sooner rather than later. I think I may have to get some of my games on amazon.co.uk because of price alone.

Finglas branch were taken preorders for the kz bundle with the camera. Information seems to vary from store to store.

I need a bit of advice

I have just moved my Killzone pre-order to Amazon after all the grief with Gamestop. Banning people from their facebook for complaining was the last straw.

Other than a saving of €12 but I may not get the game at launch. I decided to use parcel motel to get it the next day. It then leaves we with no games to play on launch day. I am trying to decide to pay the €70 and get it launch day or wait and get it the next day. I think the hype is getting to me. :D

I also moved my AC4 Buccaneer edition to GAME.

Now I have to cancel my gamestop pre-orders but I am afraid if I do that they might do some deals and I lose out.

    It is wreaking my head.

How about ordering games from Amazon.com? The games would be released with the console a week earlier than here, that should be enough time for them to arrive over here I would think. I believe they are compatible with consoles over here.

It does not look like any of the stores do, besides maybe Gamestop.

Few questions that you might be able to help me with.

    1) Is there a full price list for all PS4 games available on release day that you can download?
    2) I never sell my games.. but are there any disadvantages to downloading them as appose to buying the disc ?
    3) If I downloaded the games and my HDD in the PS4 crashed / got wiped ( for any reason inside warranty ) Would I be able to download the games again for free ?

    thanks.

How true is this? (apologies if it's been discussed in the previous couple of hundred pages)
It's in the US but can't help but notice the name of the author of the article:
    http://www.videogamer.com/news/gamestop_may_have_off-the-shelf_ps4_stock_at_launch.html

Do you think they may do this here and risk pssing thousands of people who pre-ordered in shops you could pre-order, well in advance?

No but Amazon has a full list of games on it but you will be looking at €54.99 to €64.99 for a game on PSN if going by past PS3 game prices

You wont be able to trade it in and if you wont to to play on a fiends PS4 you will have to re download the game again

Yes you can re download your games as many times as you like (I think)

it's possible.. everyone knows shops love pre-orders.. as they have your cash for months... they hype it up making people think they HAVE to pre-order or they won't get the latest gadgets.

In some cases you need to pre-order.. but the fact remains that no one knows how many Sony will have and how many Sony will give to each store.

they could also be saying this so people visit there stores on launch day and they can sell them a PS3 :D

So downloading games will cost about the same as purchasing the disc ?

As i said I don't sell or trade in games.

I'm 30 and don't really head over to Friends to play games.. we just play online.. But in staying that.. If I was visiting a friends house could I login and download the game for free ? ..

Regarding the "As many times as you like" thing.. if I had 2 PS4 ( not likly ) but if i had.. Could I pay once and download twice ?

Don't know about a full price list, i'm afraid, you would have to go individual stores and see what they have I would imagine.

I suppose the big disadvantage to downloading is that you can't swap them either. On top of that you will run out of disk space sooner but depending on how many games you buy this may not be too big a problem.

I believe that if you buy the game on digital download, you can download again and again if your disk gets corrupt, another big advantage there, no such thing as getting scratched disks and stuff like that.

I can't be sure but I believe that if you buy a digital download version you are allowed to download to a maximum of two devices.

Theoretically, yes you could download at a friends house with your account. I think you would have to deactivate their account (on their device) and then activate your own, then deactivate your one afterwards etc. Then you could be talking about 20 - 40 GB of a download for a game, that would take most of the night on most peoples broadband connections, this could also be a problem with their data allowance.

One disadvantage is nobody knows how long the servers are going to run for downloaded games, at least once you have a physical copy you have it forever.

I'd never download a full price 50 quid game.
