All my games have been sent from play asia today used Fed ex worked out €51 a game so happy out should all be here for friday would be handy if i had anything to play them on LoL

Was not paying 70 euros a game in gamestop when i can get them nearly €20 cheaper a game

If they get stopped by customs it will cost a lot more than €70 euro a game, happened me before so I now use amazon uk

The one and only time I got done by customs was using Fed Ex, they put the real price of the stuff on it as well.

One disadvantage is nobody knows how long the servers are going to run for downloaded games, at least once you have a physical copy you have it forever.

I'd never download a full price 50 quid game.

True, problem with physical games though is if you have kids. Little feckers have destroyed some of my games (and their own) by leaving them lying around the place and generally just not taking care of them. Sometimes "forever" doesn't last very long.

Funnily enough though, I still prefer having my own physical copy, although I am not really sure why.

Yep when my parcel was stopped it was fedex aswell and they also charge an admin fee on top of the duty,I ended up paying €85 for a €50 game was disgusted.

Ordered some stuff off Amazon UK, everything I've usually get off them has come quickly from An Post but I've just got an email that they're using a courier for the delivery. I'm not going to name names here, but it seems to be a international courier that then passed it off to a local one and from what I've read the local lads are lucky if the parcels have an address on them.

If you've ordered off Amazon UK and aren't using PM you better check if it's coming by post or courier as you may be waiting.

I selected the "one or two day shipping to Ireland" option for my mega bundle. I've never had a bad experience with delivery from Amazon, with any delivery option, fast or slow.

What I order always arrives on the estimate delivery date (if not before - although I know the PS4 will not arrive early)

I would rather have it on the Friday, than almost definitely commit to have to wait an extra day by using Parcel Motel.

    Why can't you name them?

Anyway I also ordered 2 day delivery and use amazon a lot, they always arrive on time and most times it's a day or two early but obviously the ps4 would be Friday at the earliest.

Wouldn't be surprised if they shipped them a couple of days early to spoil the Xbox launch, or sent them by courier to ensure Friday delivery.

How about ordering games from Amazon.com? The games would be released with the console a week earlier than here, that should be enough time for them to arrive over here I would think. I believe they are compatible with consoles over here.

    Hi guys,

I'm heading to the states for a week this Saturday and wanted to know does anyone happen to know for definite if PS4 games bought in the USA will work on a console purchased in Ireland? The chainstore Target are supposed to be offering buy 2 get 1 free on certain games and I wouldn't mind knowing for certain. I've done the whole google thing but can't find definitive proof.

    Any assistance appreciated,

    DC

Yep they will, the DLC will not though, but you have ways around that.

I just get back from GS in Kilkenny (where i pre-ordered). They confirmed that my pre-order will be to collect on midnight premiere 28/29 (as i mentioned earlier i booked my console in june). I've asked are they going to ring ppl and confirm details but guy there told me that he doesn't know but thinking that they are not going to ring anyone. So i said you know that there will be then lots of people without preorder waiting in queue and he said that they know that...

Is this a PS4 you've ordered? And what delivery did you choose? Standard or 2 Day?

So much for those tweets I guess!

Kinda wish I didn't pre-order in gamestop now. For more reasons than just not getting it on day one!

Xtra vision manager told me today that they will more than likely have a midnight launch in his branch . He reckons that if other retailers do it then why cant they. He reckons its normall and they have done it lots of times in the past with launches .

I might just go to the pub across the road, wait and then jump a taxi home .

    I'm kinda old now...so I might just go to bed also ;) ...I'm 41 :( .

Okay managed to exchange my copy of COD Ghosts for FIFA this morning. So I'm all set KZ, Knack and FIFA on standby for midnight launch Thursday.

I'm gonna have to take someone with me to the gamestop queue so one of us can wait and the other one gets the food.
