Yeah paranoia is kicking in alright! When Im walking out of the shop with it in my hands I'll know for sure I suppose. I guess it will be the same for most! Next couple of weeks are going to be very interesting indeed!

They rang me and said Im more or less guaranteed and offered me the Killzone bundle. Then when I went in to pay some off a few days later another guy in there seemed less convinced i.e. (He didnt give me a proper and definite yes or no)!? Have to wait and see I suppose.

Polygon are doing 12 hours of streaming today from 6pm I think, maybe 7.

Gamestop Northern Europe manger says demand for launch pre orders will NOT be met

"“When we started to understand that there were new consoles coming we started immediately taking pre-orders so the people who put in their pre-order early, particularly for the PlayStation 4, are going to actually be the first ones to get it and usually what happens is these people will turn up at our stores. All 51 of the [Irish] stores will be open and they will get a console, which is fantastic for them."

2 years ago people made pre orders, so basically the list starts from the 1st pre order 2 years ago

Hey guys been stalking this thread a while, finally decided to take the plunge and pre-order. Wondering if you guys have any advice who to preorder with to receive by xmas?

I said this over on the Xbox thread, but the first signs I saw for pre-orders, was back in February after the PS4 was announced and then in May for Xbox One. The 2 years things sounds like a mistake.

amazon maybe, looks like everywhere is pre-orderd out till 2014 if the hype is to be believed, Argos and Tesco wont take pre-orders so theres always that on the day.

Might be worth dropping into Harvey Normans. I think they are still taking orders for a pre-christmas delivery.

I got my pre-order in the day it was announced. Got the email saying I was guaranteed one on launch day delivered fingers crossed it happens. Shame I can't upgrade to a bundle edition.

My Amazon pre-order has just been updated with my bundle choice. Hopefully I'll get a delivery estimate soon as well.

More stuff just to up the hype, id doubt anyone actually pre-ordered 2 years ago, 2 years ago there was rumours it was coming but no definite date could have been 2025 for all anyone knew.

No way anyone would have tied up there money that way, but I suppose stranger things have happened, but I doubt it did tbh

as far as i'm aware in GS kilkenny i was able to preorder just on 2013 so how someone was able to book in 2011 :S..... hype train nothing more;)

In Ireland Gamestop pre orders started in early February and were €50 a pop, I went in the first day they had it on their system, so not sure where they are getting the 2 year thing from, the other information is right though, you will not be walking in getting one till after March unless you have a pre order, sure they cannot even fill all the preorders before the cut off date either, so it will take a few months to clear the pre order list.

See they say that, But I don't think it'll actually happen. I reckon there'll be a fair few people getting a PS4 who haven't pre-ordered. There'll be a couple extra boxes in store and people who haven't pre-ordered will get those.

Would be war if that happened, the list in my store is up on 15 pages now and not even half of those will get a launch console.

They are not offering bundles unfortunately, they are meant to be offering discounts on games and controllers, but nothing has been confirmed yet, doubt it will happen either, they have been saying it for weeks now.

Nope we only get the console. They are still charging €70 for Killzone.

If you complain on their facebook page the remove the comment and ban you from further comments.

No store would want to take the risk that people wouldnt find out, any extra consoles will be offered to the next person on the list until they get to the end.
