The way I look at players like Brady, Morrison, etc. is only play them at home. Defenders are the way to go atm, but that's just me.

Anyone bringing in Coutinho in the near future? I might bring him in after next week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,785 ✭✭✭Dubliner28

    Mignolet
    Fonte Ivanovic Coleman
    Sigurdsson Özil Januzaj Miralls
    Giroud Sturridge Lukaku

Recommend changes. 2 free transfers.. Subs a no go

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,937 ✭✭✭billy2012

    Mingnolet
    Ivanovic Coleman Walker
    Barkely Michu BenArfa Ramsey
    Sturridge Suarez Giroud

Bench - Lallana, Baker, Clyne, Given.

Any advice from any of the FF experts? I normally don't play.

First thing I would do is bench Ben Arfa and bring in Lallana

Have I got the right players starting and right subs in the right place? I think two of the few fixtures I won't play Mickey will be City and Liverpool away but am still squirming seeing him there, out of sight but not out of mind.

It's a direct 50/50 between Coleman or Townsend and I think Ravel deserves his place ahead of AJ this week. 8 away players isn't really a good sign

I like the way you've just about left the green arrows in view ;) (from my mobile anyway)

Spurs haven't been banging them in, I'm happy enough keeping Coleman in my team.

I had an AJ v Brady dilemma, Brady injury has decided it for me. Was really impressed with AJ midweek and we like playing Fulham so.... Keep Morrison :)

Haha, I had it posted from earlier in the week and nothing had changed since so I followed the 3 R's of reduce, reuse and recycle :pac:

There's a doubt over whether AJ starts though whereas Ravel, Townsend and Coleman all should do. I might just leave my brain work in the background and come back to it later. Townsend is up against Baines so no easy game for him.

At 8.5m Coutinho will be back in most teams, he should be back flying it after the international break and with the goals flowing for the pool he should contribute greatly.

Anything stand out in terms of transfers?

Hey lads... this is my latest version (playing wildcard) - My head is fooking wrecked from it and this is about the 15th variation, any advice would be much appreciated. Basically one of these 2.

Id risk pantimillon in your shoes seems to be a good chance he will start tomorrow. If he doesnt you have harper anyway.

Think I'd go with the 2nd option, midfield looks strong, only doubts I'd have would be that both Arsenal and Southampton have some tough fixtures coming up .... and just to wreck your head another bit, wondering will Dawson keep his place long term :D

In option A you could go for Bego as you already have Rat. While I have my bias I'd recommend looking at Norwich's defense going forward and Jonny Howson. After City it opens up rather nicely.

Townsend at 5.9 and his upcoming fixtures aren't great. I wouldn't touch Brayford when you can get a starting defender for 3.9 or 4.

I think it's important in a wildcard to not back yourself into a corner straight away. A risk or 2 can spice things up. Instead of Ramsey you could go for Sessegnon with a cracking fixture this week.

Either way go with you gut and I hope you find some peace before 11:30 tomorrow morning or atleast after the deadline :pac:

I would go with team 2.

Maybe Rooney to Lukaku or Benteke and then you could have Terry instead of Dawson as Chelsea have nice fixtures coming up. You would also have money to upgrade Brayford too.

Pantilimon might be worth a gamble too.

City have 3 out of their next four at home. I'd recommend trying to fit in Zabaleta/Silva/Yaya if you can. It's a nice team especially the attack but the defence looks rather weak. Never hurts to leave a 0.5M in the bank when you might want to bring in someone else down the line and your funds are nil.

Also if you want to throw in a 4.0 keeper, bring in Steve Harper from Hull. I think McGregor is out until December so you'd have him til' then at least. Personally, I'd get in another 4.5 keeper like from a team like Cardiff.

Struggling with defence and midfield decisions. Need to drop one from Amalfitano, Arnautovic and Lallana. Have it on Lallana at the moment.

Also need to drop one from Terry, Vidic, Coleman and Fonte. Currently dropping Coleman.

    Any help / observations welcome.

Why do you need to drop one from defence and midfield?

Sorry. Probably should have posted full team. Playing three strikers - Lukaku, Aguero (c) and Suarez plus Ramsey and Ozil in midfield. Only leaves room for five more players.

Okay folks this is me heading into GW 10

    lyq0.jpg

All the usual suspects in there really but does anyone see anywhere i can strengthen over the next few weeks? Unless Michu gets a brace this weekend I'll be shipping him out for either Hazard/Oscar and if Brady is back to full fitness taking a hit to ship Barley out again for him for a hit!

Besides that im reasonably happy, Mignolet is my only other concern but besides the Arsenal game the fixtures aren't too bad, i think it's more to do with the 3 man defence that is killing the CS potential really so will have to see, maybe Lloris in the following week! Not going with the rotation option for keepers this year it was too much of a headache last season with Bego and Mig and alwaye picking the wrong one!

To me, that is a very solid team. Davis & Gabbidon are the obvious weak links. I'd personally hold onto Michu as they have good match-ups coming up. You have to remember their fixtures at the start of the season were harsh. He is pricey though.

    A little....actually a lot of help please :o

    Boruc

    Toure Zab Fonte

    Paulinio Hazard Ozil Ramsy Januzaj

    Sturridge Negredo

    Subs: Camp, Dawson, Brayford, Campbel

Michu got his P45, followed by the bullet... good riddance to him!

Paulie to somebody like Ravel, Howson, Brady freeing up about 2.0. Campbell to Lukaku perhaps?

You don't need both Fonte and Boruc after next weekend so downgrade Fonte and free up more funds. Getting rid of Ozil would do you a lot of favours financially too.

    Mignolet
    Coleman--Lovren--Nastasic--Terry
    Ramsey--Oscar--Nasri

    Suárez--Lukaku--Agüero ----
    Boruc--Brady--Whittaker--Morrison

Ozil, Yaya, Giroud and Sturridge out,
Ramsey, Nasri, Aguero and Suarez in.
Had two free transfers so it was an 8pt hit.

I don't know if it was daft or genius because I don't know what's real and what's not anymore!:(

Nasri is a nice differential! I really need to start thinking along those lines as the lad in front of me in my private league has basically made every move i have the week after me over the last few weeks so im not making any ground now as our teams are almost identical!

Which ONE would you play from these 3?

Turner (avl), Sessegnon (che), Brady (sou)

Turner - Villa struggling to score but surely they won't blank again?

Sessegnon - Can't see Chelsea conceding but if they do high chance Sess is involved.

Brady - Can't see Southampton conceding but he only needs a dodgy set piece.
