Sharon what position had you applied for? I've resorted to postman stalking this week again, I've a feeling we have to hear something soon or maybe the madness has kicked in!

I got the same letter too the first page has ticks on the forms u need, however I don't think I'll get it all done in time for the date stated as my gp is a nightmare to get an appointment for even if it's just to fill in a form

What's the form for the GP to fill in. Takes about 4 weeks for me to get an appointment

Just for vaccinations, you can get the nurse to do it but from past experience at my gp even that seems too big a task for them even though it would only take 5 mins of their time

Did we not already get that filled in before assessment centre?

Deetopps, have you applied for all positions or just the 1? I only applied for the custody officer role and still haven't heard about a medical or anything but told to be hopeful as I'm within the top 100. But not hopefull at the min as I seem to be one of the few who now hasn't had a medical date yet??

They still haven't started recruiting for the co position which is why you haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully it will happen soon !

Ditto, I was told that it is to happen without a doubt, apparently the prisons are now understaffed, and that the latest it could be could be the new year

What happens during the summer etc when the courts are closed. Is it unpaid leave?

Ok happy days thanks, was starting to get a wee bit annoyed that maybe I was being missed out for some reason! Maybe once they've filled all the PCO posts the rest of us who've only applied for co will start to hear? I lost all hope at one point but after chatting to wild rover I'm a little bit more hopeful now!

A relative of mine is a governor and he said that I will hear back, basically there were some PCO's that transferred over to the prisons as CO's so they were looking for in and around 100 odd PCO's to recruit as I was told, including those with different contracts, then they would be looking more CO's as I was told it could be another 100 to 200 more for the CO role, again I dunno how concrete all that was said but I got that from the so called horses mouth

I might give them a ring tmo and see if they have any up to date info. Has anyone here applied for the psni too? I remember a few were interested in it and waiting for the new campaign to open
