Guys the Liverpool game on Setanta1 yesterday was unwatchable.
    stop - start- pixilated.

Is this related to the judder problem or am I looking at something completely different as it was a SD channel afterall?

    using hyperion image (championc)

That should be perfect if you have Card in the slot with the correct entitlements on it :)

    I'm confused.

    Something completely different:

In my channel listings I have SKY1 channel peppered multiple times throughout all bouquets? It's frustrating. Any cause or resolution out there ?

Delete all bouquets except for favourites and run autobouquets again

i cant seem to mount my 500gb toshiba hdd

i have tried to mount it via pkt/bluepanel/mount center

i have pointed it at my hdd and set 'auto mount' - hit green button. all looks to have mounted, but when i press record i get :
No HDD found or HDD not initialized

When i go back into mount center none of the previos settings are saved and nothing looks mounted?

i have also made sure there is a folder named 'movie' on the hdd

    any ideas anyone?

    hyperion image btw

In some cases it wont properly find the HD without a reboot.
Also, what format is the HD, NTFS or Ext3?

You need it mounted otherwise CrossEPG will save to internal flash and fill it, cause glitching and lag. Is the drive formatted to EXT3, it should automount then?

still having a bit of trouble so currently formatting hdd to ext3.

also on the front digital display of stb it says 'full' ??

    no hdd attached curently

Ext3 is said to be better. The "full" indicator is a bug.

    update:

formatted hd to ext3 and mounted it (i think)

the HDD is very busy now and looks to be receiving files from the stb as i have a spinning wheel on the screen and busy hdd

    IS THIS NORMAL?

Just play about with it now - record a few programs and pause/rewind the channel your watching.
I asked about timeshift a few pages back and someone mentioned it beats up the hdd. I haven't fullt tested it yet with a hdd, currently using a 16gb usb key - but I have timeshift switched off.

The whole principle behind timeshifting is that the box is continuously recording what you are watching and so can rewind or pause events. Needless to say, this means the HDD is in constant use. Turning off timeshifting saves wear and tear on the HDD.

Well, I have moved from Champions Hyperion image to the Open PLi image with the Judder fix.

It works really well, haven't had any problems installing plugins or anything like that. hard disk works fine even though I had the space full indicator even though it wasn't near full :-)

My only issue is with the cross epg, it seems to lag a lot and is very slow to navigate through. The other problem is the black spaces where there is no channels, is there any way to get rid of these?

Delete the channel entry manually or in dreamboxedit

CrossEPG is a plugin the retrieves the EPG from the Internet. Displaying the EPG is CoolTVGuide or the Default EPG viewer. So which one are you using ?

The UK app will work IF you point your internet connection to use a UK proxy

I remember this happening in champs previous version of arp, try set up, system and have a look at settings maybe under subtitle setings, a/v settings or auto language settings. I currently have champs hyperion 2 image, this didn't have that setting enabled

The setting is called prefer ac3 track and set your preferred language to english

Also I think the audio settings is mapped to the red button which is overwritten by CoolTVguide, I posted my key map a few pages back, it assigns CoolTVguide to EPG and moves audio to yellow

VLC will play it if it's port forwarded through your router correctly
