    HMV Henry Street reopened today.
Anyone check out preordering PS4 there yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,973 ✭✭✭✭Snake Plisken

I didn't as I was in a rush did see a poster for pre-ordering PS4/Xbox 1 with €10 deposit, not sure if that means you'll get it on release or the second batch.

    you'll get pennies....literally.....60 quid for a ps3 slim 160gb, as for games....lol, under a tenner. often 2 or 3 quid per game.

I was in GameStop this morning & asked how much I would get for my 320gb PS3 towards PS4. €100 so I won't be trading in, PS3 well worth keeping IMO.

Went into Gamestop to check my pre orders.

The lad working told me they'll be getting in the Killzone + Extra Controller + PS Camera bundle.(€500)

He said they havent a clue how much they'd be getting but I could easily come in on launch night and get that bundle instead of the console only €400 version

I've paid 465 up front, if I see one of these I'm getting it if possible

Same here....on laucnh night i'll just go for whatever bundle they have...if they have them. Its like 80 quid cheaper then buying the stuff on its own....tis a great bargin bundle!!

Likewise. I've nearly €300 paid off. I'll definitely go for the Killzone bundle. Its a great price tbf

Also if anyone else has an XBone pre order (wrong thread I know) I was told the same about Forza/Fifa day one. You can make the choice on the night

    Hi,
I know I am late to the party but any suggestions where to pre-order if I want to get the console on release date?

This post makes me a little more confident about getting a launch day console! :D

PS4 mass production is happening (Leaked pictures on Chinese board)

Amazing how quickly this year has flown by, but I suspect the next three months will drag on.

That's where GTAV comes in handy

Try Harvey Norman, everywhere else is sold out of launch day pre orders.

You preordered in xtravision? I don't mean to alarm you but you might want to find out about how stable the store is

It grand the same company that buy Hmv own all xtravision in Ireland and there turning most xtravision into a cross between hmv and xtravision something like curry and PC world

I'm sorry to say gamers that I "Naimless" will not be getting the new ps4 due to its online cost.

I'm sticking with my ps3 slim.

I picked up a €50 PSN card for €35 on adverts recently and then bought the 12 months PS+ offer in the PS store with an extra 3 months free.

€35 for 15 months? Id spend more on 1 night out.

Yes but it's the straw that broke my back, so to speak.

What's it going to be next year and so on.

Maybe it's just that I'm getting old.

Tbh, it's a jewel encrusted golden straw - best value for money around(for a gamer).

Don't think of it as paying for multiplayer, think of all the free games you'll be getting. Sure it will have payed for itself on day 1 with the Drive Club & indie releases

I currently get Xbox Live free off Vodafone, maybe we'll see similar deals with Plus especially that Sony are planning to work with ISP as they've said.

Alright lads just wondering how many of you got it pre-ordered with Xtravision, the one down the road from me closed a few months ago so I'm in two minds whether to or not, its only €10 to pre-order so I'm thinking to pay that and then pay the rest on the day so if it does shut down I have only lost a tenner.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 33,733 ✭✭✭✭Myrddin

Xtra Vision are safe enough now I thought, having been bought?

the one i booked in is currently selling off all its stock and will close very soon. i went in to ask about my pre-order..they said its now in another xtravision close to me so maybe they switched yours too to the nearest one like they did with me?

If your Xtravision isn't having a closing down sale then I'd say its one of the stores that wont be shut down. You should ask them anyway, they'll know the story.

Cheers for the help lads I ended up pre-booking it in Harvey Normans today €20 deposit and then you just need to have it paid of before the release date on the 29th so you can pay it all on the 28th and then ya pick it up on release date, delighted as I didn't think I would get a PS4 this year.
