Oh yeah, I thought I remembered seeing something like that on one of their ads/demos.

That would also be good for skype. I have skype on my PC and tele but the camera on the tele's sh*te so it would be nice to integrate it into the PS4

On a totally different note: What d'ye think about the Vita/PS4 integration? Do you think it'll be successful or just like the PSP/PS3 attempt? I know they are saying "almost all" games will support it and it had great potential but do ya think it'll be worth forking out another 200 for the vita?

Just looking for advice, saying I pre ordered a PS4 online at gamestop and say a KZ Bundle comes out, how would getting an upgrade work. Just email them?

Did you supply a phone number?
My understanding is they will phone people in the final weeks prior to launch to see if they are interested in getting a bundle.

If in any doubt you could email them for clarification.

Pre-ordered in Smyths on Jervis St. Was told I won't be receiving it on release day (knew this anyway) but I will definitely get it before Christmas. Not sure if they knew what they were talking about but there you go.

I've been on to them already about the same thing, I've the standalone PS4 and Killzone and wanted one of those Killzone bundles.

From the reply they don't know if they're getting it as Sony have not confirmed it's even real and if it is they don't know if they're getting them. I've asked again to see if bundles such as this or a gamestop equivalent can be gotten without changing the chance of getting it on launch day but I've had no reply yet.

I know its confirmed to run in the background on Xbox and if its the same on PS4 then nothing is stopping me adding a friend on skype and chatting away while playing different games on different consoles!

Sure Skype is on Vita as it is. There should be no reason why not. You can Skype people on PCs, Macs, Smartphones, tablets so why not console to console unless MS try and restrict it which would be a very silly move.

I do with it but it's ~€460 for Killzone and the PS4, but if that 499 price is RRP then it's likely what Gamestop or others will charge and for the extra 30 I can get a second controller and the camera.

For 30 I do it for just the controller as those are twice that separate.

That might be the best option, if yer willing to wait 4-6 weeks. Get them from Hong Kong or China or Taiwan for much cheaper.

Well I'm actually in the US on PS4 launch day, 27th Nov - 1st December. Add in what do they call it, black friday? Laughing.

Was going to make a light hearted joke about looking after yourself from getting robbed over there on Black Friday, but now i'm going to seriously warn you.

I have some american friends and they tell me horrible, shocking stories of the Black friday craze over there. Their clothes being ripped in crowds of consumers, if you get the last few items on sale jealous americans threatening you, among other stuff.

Anyone reckon if I pre-ordered a PS4 now, would I have any chance of getting one before Christmas, or at least around the new year?

Wasn't too bothered about the gaming side to be honest, it's more to have a Blu Ray player over the Christmas holidays!

I think if you looked round/waited for HMV, you might get one for christmas. But sure if you want a blu ray player people are gonna be selling their PS3's off like hotcakes.

lol....wouldnt it be gas that we're all pre-ordereing and freaking out about stock. I'll bet during launch week you could walk into any store that seels them and there will be plenty of stock.

Sony/MS spiining bs to create hype....or no one is interested in the consoles....LOL!

You could pick up a basic player for around 50 bucks on Amazon if all you want to do is play Blu Rays

I checked with Amazon to see if I could upgrade my order to a bundle if one comes available but without losing my place in the queue and the rep said I could, no problem :-)

Basically, I want the PS4 but I'm in no rush to get one, but if I was getting one I'd like it for Christmas time to watch Blu-Rays.

I would obviously be playing the occasional game too

I hope you are right. I'm be pretty p!ssed if I don't get mine before Christmas. It would really put a damper on the holidays. I can only blame myself for not pre-ordering early enough to guarantee it, I guess.

Although, the best way of creating hype about a product, is to limit the stock at the start so it seems very exclusive, and some people always want what they can't have.

Hopefully everyone who wants one will have one by Christmas.

I wouldn't say Sony are deliberately limiting stock at launch. They'd love to ship and sell 2 million consoles at launch if they could. As it is they have over 1 million pre orders in 32 countries. They don't need to create any more hype for this, it was there 7 months ago when they announced the console and no one knew what it even looked like. This is the longest console generation in a while and gamers are eager and ready to step up to new hardware.

There are more PS4 pre-orders than the total of WiiU consoles sold to date.
