Pre ordered with amazon , 45 euro including the 3.50 parcel motel. Hard to go wrong at that price, especially with the free 1st class delivery. Hoping they post on the Saturday so it arrives first thing on the 17th

dam, i never thought about using parcel motel, do you just use the antrim address on amazon as delivery address? i think i could still change the delivery address.

Yeah just use the Antrim address as delivery. Free 1st class postage.

I've spoken with a rep from Amazon [.co.uk] and here's what she had to say:

"If you've chosen 'Free First Class' as your postal option, your game will be dispatched on Saturday the 14th to avoid disappointment and ensure it is with you on release date. The reason for this is that first-class postage cannot guarantee next-day delivery.

If you've chose 'One-day Delivery' as your postal option, the game will be dispatched on Monday the 16th and will be guaranteed to be with you on Tuesday because it's a night-line courier service used instead of standard mail.

If you haven't chosen either of those, I'm afraid you will not receive your game on day of release."

If it is truly a living, breathing city, will we finally see working construction sites and docks etc...

A lot of cranes in the screenshots but will the be like the other gta's and just sitting there doing nothing?

Was actually playing IV yesterday and thinking the same.

Would be cool to have construction and a while later it's done and they move onto another building and random road works too.

Would love to see working docks, With maybe a small car ferry to drive onto and it'll drop us off at another island/docks.

Car export missions like in the original GTA where you have to drive the car onto the docks would be awesome. Especially if you had to guard the car while its being lowered onto the boat or something.

Just watched a video on daily motion entitled "fib preview". It's somewhat spoilerish so I won't post it. I will however share the below screen grab from it (which isn't spoilers but plain awesome!)

The main things from that IGN video answering questions:

There are some pop-up issues.
Runs smoothly on both consoles.
No demo before release.
Radio stations are now chosen by a weapon wheel rather than cycling through them with the d-pad.
It sounds like you can't change the hairstyles of the main characters. Not sure if this extends to clothes, I think you may be able to. Your multiplayer character can be done up however you want.
No co-op in the single player campaign.
You can put the roof up and down in convertibles!

The main one for me that was answered was 'there are no hidden packages'. I don't mind this at all as I never went looking for hidden packages in any of the GTA's.

They said it in the IGN video.

Just once they don't include pigeons or gang tags instead. The hidden packages, especially the VC style, were the best collectible by far.

Since its release in 2002, there's one package I cannot find. Scoured every guide, map placement and it continues to elude me. Every now and again I'll load up the PS2 in the hope of trying to find it, but in the last 3/4 years, I've given up.

Watch a YouTube video. That helped me. I couldn't find three or four of them without YouTube. The map placements can often be wrong, even if just one street over.

On my last play though I had a map and x-ed them out as I got them. Marked off number 100 only to read 99 on screen. Had missed one but didn't know which! Had to go though them all again :pac:
