I don't think they'll go "out of fashion" anytime soon, the same way that earrings aren't going to go out of fashion.

What might change is the fashion in motives, I think tribals are getting less frequent these days, but tattoos as such will remain popular.

Thats why I'm getting a ****ehawk done, a creature of irish myth.

Get a Celtic tiger done too.

I also googled 'bad tattoos'. It's enthralling.

They can be so hot on some women, and make others look like men...........

The only thing that bothers me about people I know who are getting, or have got tattooed is that they often go looking for the cheapest or best price they can get, to me that's insane! I mean its going to be on your body, for the rest of your life, would you not want to get the best person for the job not the best price??

If money is an issue wait till you can afford it!

I have three tattoos at the moment and don't regret a single one :). My next tattoo is going to be of the DNA double helix.

My tattoo's are my kids names and birthdays (in case I forget obv) and a bit of writing on my chest. I got em cause I wanted to, they are not visible to anyone unless Im shirtless and they were not influenced by fashion

If they're professionally done and artistic then I think they look good. The ones that look tacky are the ones mainly found on fat skangers and look like they done them themselves...in the dark...while drunk.

Cherly's' (sic) a little too realistic.
Maybe sometimes a bunch of flowers is really what you need going through your mind.;)

    I'd be worried about thorns:eek:

Sher these tattoo things are a new thread, it's not as if they are thousands of years old and are referenced in the bible, but in the next 20 years, nobody will have them and we will neuter anyone who currently has any so we can cleanse the gene pool.

wrong. Originally used by sailors. 1 meant 5k nautical miles and 2 meant 10 apparently. But hey don't want to mess with your ignorance, so carry on

You may beg to differ but it does not change the fact that you are wrong.

I have three tattoos done separately that come together to form a larger one. Not planned that way, but I'm delighted I got them - they're discretely placed, so I often forget I even have them at all!

Bloke in work got his kids names done on his wrist area, asked him why?; considering he sees them everyday and is unlikely to forget their names. He said "it seemed like a cool thing to do", fair enough, but I'm waiting for the first parent when asked, why you did call your child >insert name< and then get it as a tattoo, and for them to say; because it would look good in mandarin characters on my arse cheeks.

When you say that people with tattoos are stupid and then give misinformation, people will defend that :)

That's like saying people who wear their hair a certain way are stupid or that people who jog are stupid.
There are lots of fashions and habits I don't like , that does not mean that I have superior intelligence to those who favour them.

Some tattoos are nice, some tattoos are awful. The ones people get just for the sake of getting a tattoo tend to be terrible. Football / sport tattoos are terrible. Pointless tribal designs are terrible.

Ones with a bit of thought behind them tend to be the nice ones.

    But that's just my opinion.

Most tats are trashy, i rarely see any that are of a high quality.

I think bigger ones actually look alot better than the small butterfly's or love hearts etc that people get.

    As for neck tattoos......just lol

Don't have any issue with tattoos but they're just too common these days. If you go to places like Ibiza or Thailand during the summer you'll see snapbacks and certain tattoos are almost like the uniform over there, it seems like every second lad has a full sleeve.

David Beckham has definitely been a big influence in their popularity. I think a lot of his are very good but others are a bit much. Not sure if I'll ever get one but if I do it will probably be very discreet.
