yes, they were taking a lot of flak over judder problem on hd channels on enigma2 images.

Yeah, they're concentrating more on Spark now.
    No loss really.
Their Enigma 2 image backups were garbage ,buggy and unresponsive.
Anyone who queried the obvious bugs was told it was a configuration error or else they were banned.

Much better images out there and better sites too ,that are honest .

    Setup>System>Timezone

The actual time and date are set automatically once a signal is found

Is everyone jumping ship on this Box?

If you had to buy again, what would you get?

    Vu+Solo 2?

Just to tease everyone - I'm messing about with Hyperion 2 :)

    It's also Python 2.7 based.

Solo 2 is a good option although still a bit pricey.

I think the new frontrunner may well be the Gigablue quad.

You can get the actual quad tuner stb above for around €370

You can have an internal hdd (2.5 inch laptop hdd, fyi) for pvr purposes and then there's no faffing about with drivers for usb dvb-t tuners if you choose to add a dedicated internal one during purchase. ;)

I posted it in the firmware thread last month.

Very nice image and probably the best for novice users .

Out of curiosity I just tried the latest HDMU 11338. Don't bother. It still has all the sluggishness and bugs of old.

At least there is development in Hyperion 2 - not like OpenAR-P which seems to have reached a standstill

Just started loading the usual stuff which should be a formality given that OpenAR-P is 2.7 too

Might get a week to do all bits that my old image had but expect it to be as stable as AR-P

Is there any advantages of the new hyperion 2 over open ar-p?

    God...so many boxes, it's bullsh1t.

Only ones people aren't complaining about in some way are the Vus.

The BluePanel stuff is very good and of course there is the ongoing development.

But most of all, you can stream another channel other than the one that is being watched - Yipee. My friend got it working for encrypted channels in both instances. On Saturday, I could watch encrypted but only stream the non-encrypted satellite channels. I assume the reverse works too. So I'm nearly there, but it's all looking very promising. The box may finally be able to do what it should be able to do.

I was streaming all types of channels on your open ar-p image.

Yeah, I have no problem streaming paid channels when watching another paid channel. Sounds like it's an oscam provider/line issue

Good auld Satstation. Surprised you managed to get it there because they didn't like me slagging off HDMU so they banned me from their forum !!!

I got banned and I never even posted on the site!!!! (no reason given for banning)
tried emailing admins to query it, I didn't follow it up.
seeing the posts here I am wondering if there is a bug in this system that banned a lot of people in error?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,450 ✭✭✭championc

Maybe they just went and banned everyone who wasn't a customer of theirs - and so the forum would be for their own customer support only . If so, I hope it goes well for them - no great loss really.

Does the Hyperion 2 image suffer from the stuttering HD playback issue too?

I'm currently running Championc's image and have not had any problems streaming either FTA or subscription channels to other devices. I do ,however, get random severe stuttering/freezing on some recordings...even SD. Having said that, my subscription HD channels have never once stuttered during a live viewing, though I did carry out the 25 hz mod.

no sure if this is the right page but have an issue with the channel list on spark. My brother was updating the firmware and also decide to update the channel database from the update online option on spark and now all the channel names are in German, is there an english channel datatbase that i can download to change this back???

    thanks in advance

Could be your HDD if it only happens on playbacks. Does it only happen on this image?

Not a fan of spark so don't really know, but did you try going online and updating via usb?
