Had to take a call in work so only half watching for the last 20 mins, sloppy goal to give away, poor tracking by I think Ledley. We look very shakey at the back but thankfully so do they.

No need to go crazy, a goal will come if we keep our heads, we really don't want to give away another goal

Ah Samaras, you have to score those!

    EDIT

We are really struggling with the long throws. Attack the ball in the air ffs!

Samaras isnt good as a lone striker. Like to see Balde get on

Forrest has been anonymous in attack

    Agreed
Would have started stokes instead of Forrest and moved Sammy out wide.

Celtic giving Shakhter to much time on the ball need to close down quicker

Shakhter hungrier side, Celtic second to every ball time to wake up

    Mouyokolo is a bombscare

I don't think Stokes is much good in the role either, really highlights the need for a striker

Balde is the only striker we have thats suited to playing up top of his own, especially against big defenders

Poor first half from Celtic, Shaktar are growing in confidence due to how easy it is to cause panic in our defence. We need to start the 2nd half well or we'll lose another goal or 2.

We have the quality to win this game handily but it seems we have returned to the days of bomb-scare defending and no quality in the centre forward position.

I'd have Forrest off and Amido on at half time, I'd be tempted to move Mulgrew back to CB and replace Mouyokolo with Kayal too.

Samaras is most dangerous on the left running at defenders, Lennon knows this yet still keeps playing him as a lone striker in these CL qualifiers. Put on Stokes or Balde on and put Sammy on the left.

I think it's safe to say at this stage that Lennon simply doesn't have confidence in Stokes at this level, probably the same for Amido too but he can possibly change Lennon's view

The major issue is that we are losing out on Samaras' influence out wide where he is affective. He can cause havoc running at defenders from wide positions.

The 2 of them are carrying knocks, so is Matthews. I think if Balde was 100%, he'd have started.

No but I'd rather him than Forrest who too often is a waste of a Jersey

I agree 100% but it's Lennon you need to convince. I do think putting Stokes up front helps free up Samaras to cause them problems but it leaves us without a presence in the box. That's what I thought Amido was bought for but obviously not deemed up to the job yet.

Stokes would be useless against those centre backs, he'd be booked within 10 minutes for fouling them going up for headers like he did against Elfsborg

Maybe Samaras was our only option to start up front so, makes the need to get Hooper replaced all the more critical as this is a pretty glaring weakness in our team in every game we've played so far

I'm not a fan of Forrest starting games, he's very inconsistent and seems to do better coming off the bench.

Mouyokolo is having a horrific game.

Should see these off comfortably at home though

Don't know what took so long, a few players miles off form, Ledley, Lustig, Mouyokolo & Forrest all have been poor or worse

Them 2 new centre backs are terrible

Van Dijk has looked ok to me but he has Izzy on one side & Mouyokolo on the other, he'll have nightmares tonight.

Mouyokolo is a bombscare but van Dijk is ok, first competitive game for Celtic and just back from a broken bone in his foot

    Forrest should have scored

Sammy looks to be in trouble

Samaras should have finished the rebound. Even if his leg was hanging off, he should have thrown something at the ball!
