    What are you looking for?
Are you looking for an a to b car or are you looking to get their via c?
    They're so fun to drive.
I've had mine a few weeks and although it has a few niggly things (it's an 11 year old car) I don't think I'd ever go back to the German stuff.
My dad has a landcruiser and a merc and loves the alfa (he thought it'd have blown up by now).
Everyone who's drove mine can't get over how fast it is and the way it handles corners.
They do need more tlc than your normal car, but a normal car wouldn't put a smile on your face the way the alfa does.
    Mine is thirsty (it's a 2.5 v6) so that's explainable and I get 28 mpg average which isn't bad.
What one are you looking at?
If your in the Kildare/Dublin area feel free to try mine.
I would ignore the people who say they are bad.
Most people who say that, haven't actually owned one.
The build quality in the last few years has improved immensely, however the current models don't have that alfaness of the previous models.
If I was buying one tomorrow, I'd be getting one of an enthusiast.
I was waiting 6 months for the right one to pop up.

the thing is that i had mazda 6, 1.8...
but for some reason had to go for opel astra 1.4...

i still miss mazda and im looking at the prices and good deal all the time...
i used to talk with mechanics and most of bad experiences are coming from them...

if i could, i would buy mazda 6 again, not the model from 2008, but the one from 2002-2007 model...

again, line from mazda is similar to alfa 156..

i wish that im close to dublin (but im not) so i can try your...

On the subject of Alfa's picked this up on Friday. Alfa 159 Ti. Replaces the Alfa GT I wrote off 6 weeks ago. Loving it so far.
Thats one angry looking machine. Love it. Well wear!

@That Alfa TI: Wow! Such a fantastic looking car with those wheels.

Theyre really underwhelming with smaller wheels but those are just the biz.

She's a beauty alright with the 19's. Worth the extra rubber cost. The Ti comes slightly lower than standard too which shows them off more

Most of the people who told me they were bad, had never drove one before. You really need to drive one before you can appreciate them.
    It keeps asking for more.

Which is why I'd try buy an enthusiast owned one. Look on alfaowner and you should see owners on there selling theirs.
If theyre looked after theyre fine.

I had heard the stories myself and it worried me. But Im glad I did. What model are you thinking of?

That ain't no ti above that's for sure...;)

Ah there's something special about 'em, it's hard to explain, go out and drive one sure and come back to us!

@Discombobulate - stunning yoke! Absolutely gorgeous beast, I'm going to assume 1.9jtdm? Looks the business, I'm definitely jealous! :D

    mods delete this

There's so many 156's on DD being advertised as Ti's, that aren't. I dunno how they manage to get away with it.

Thanks. Over the moon with it. Yes its the 1.9. Would like to have went with the 2.0 or even better the TBi but this one popped up at a great price with the EGR and belt only just done with low mileage so had to go for it. Hope the VRT man goes easy on me now.

I have to disagree with you on this one...
This model is TI by mywheels.ie

    Make Alfa Romeo
    Model 156 Ti Lusso 1.8
    Colour GREY
    Fuel Type PETROL
    Engine Size 1.7L

That one has no leather, side skirts, doesn't look lowered and the wrong alloys so i'd say thats wrong. It also can't be a Lusso and a Ti I don't think as their two seperate specs.

Fair enough but its definitely wrong. My old GT comes up as a Blackline on there although they only came in black (mine was red)

Tony Stark pulled up beside me in a carpark in Normandy.

    null_zps5c7d9f70.jpg

Asked me if I wanted to swap, I was like "lolwut? can't you see I have a Nürburgring sticker?"

As an aside, is there an easy DIY method to remove those filthy things?

There's loads of 156's listed on the book as Ti's, but in reality they are not.
I have no idea why this should be.
"Propper" Ti's are lowered, have Ti leather seats in them, the headliner and pillars are black. they have side skirts and "Ti" stamped on the Toora Alloys.

There were nostalgic pics we had way earlier in the thread, go for it :)

I got a new car a few weeks back, so after her first wash at the weekend, I thought I would go for a test drive.

Kind of wish I hadn't now.

Edit: Why can't I resize the image so I can include it?
