I got the same call. I wonder if they might just be ringing all interview candidates. Next week can't come quick enough, all this waiting is such a pain! Best of luck to the rest of ye!

I didn't get a call. There were 2 areas discussed at interview stage and I gave my preference at that time.

yes i was the same two areas discussed but I stated my preference. Its so strange that they would call when its already been stated.

ya it seems unnecessary to go through the bother of ringing people when surely most have stated preferences!

Only a few more days of waiting. Thank God :)

I stated it in my initial phone interview and discussed it for several minutes during the face to face interview. So it was the third time telling them. It's not like they won't have enough candidates to fill all locations. Although the larger cities will naturally be more popular.

were u asked them in your phone interview and your face to face interview?

Ya I was asked in initial phone interview, face to face interview and last week by phone call again. Would they be ringing people who have said more than one location I wonder?

I doubt it. I've always just given one location. With a mortgage, I simply can't afford to move away.

Don't know for sure why they rang people but i was told by another person who works in HR with another company that it usually means, with his company, that if they do that they are on the verge of offering you a position and to see who is going to be flexible and who is not and therefore put forward who they consider will be good for the job and who will give them potential problems down the line if adjustment is needed.... Now as i have said that is what the company he works for does but its not to say that SGS do the same thing and as for the different locations anything with in a 20-40 mile radius shouldn't be a hassle if you really want the job after all you hear of people driving 1 1/2 hours to get to work these days.

Sorry, that should have read " therefore put forward who they consider will be good for the job and who will NOT give then trouble down the line if adjustment is needed"
