I remember myself and my brother going down to galway on the bus for GTASA. We went to all the major names, GAME, game stop, HMV etc etc. All sold out. Disappointed and wanting to just go home. I stumbled across this small music shop. Not one copy sold and it was cheaper by 35 Euro.

As for GTA IV I waited a few weeks for that before I got it. I realize now I wasn't missing a lot.

When San Andreas came out though many people already had PS2's. But when GTA IV came out not many people had the 360 or PS3.

I can't remember for III but I got VC, SA and IV all on release day or the day after. No pre-orders. It's one of the biggest games of the year, no shop will be stupid enough to under order. It's not like they will be stuck with them afterwards either. If they don't go on release day they will go shortly after.

Damn, I put on the best scientology looking facial expression that I could :pac:. There were probably hundreds and hundreds of entries though.

There was a prize going, whereby they would choose five of the entries to appear as the actual faces of Epsilon members in the game. Cool prize, but difficult to win because of the amount of entries, and I'd say the choice was down to a number of R* staff looking at photos who gave no info on what kind of features they were looking for.

Not sure if trolling, but he meant that when the video was over, he'd be saying that it "needed more parachuting", not that the video would be starting at 3:05.

I wonder how long this gameplay will be and what it will consist of. Hopefully we will see the basics like shooting, driving and maybe one of the minigames.

I'm hoping we either see the demo Game Informer saw for their reveal, or the one that starts off with the parachute jump and is just kind of a free roam one...

I'm probably being optimistic.

I think it'll probably be done in the style of the RDR game play trailers, like the one below, with a voice-over and that.

They'll probably show off the character switching mechanic and it'll probably be very level headed. As in, I doubt we'll see any of the characters beat a hooker with a baseball bat :pac:

I'm not sure I understand the excitement, and to be honest I doubt I'll bother watching the videos. Not because I'm worried about spoilers but really do we not know already pretty much exactly how a GTA game will work? The series has hardly been at the cutting edge of revolutionary gameplay since GTA III came out.

Will anyone be swayed to buy this or not buy this because of a gameplay video?

Ha! Quite the opposite I think. It's a GTA game. We know them, we love them and no gameplay video is going to make me change my opinion on this game one little bit.

There will be lots of driving from A to B. Lots of shoot-outs with faceless thugs, lots of corrupt police, lots of great tunes and probably some underwhelming controls. I don't need a video to show me these things.

It's not about changing our opinions on the game. Obviously, the gameplay video will be heavily focused on only showing us positives anyway. It's about building hype, getting to see the new gameplay mechanics, how do the graphics hold up to the trailers/screenshots etc.

A gameplay video is no different to a normal trailer in my opinion. It's designed to show the game at its best, and make you want to play the game even more.
