120 Hz on my CRT is night and day compared to 60 Hz on my Catleap. Aiming in fast-paced shooters like Quake or Team Fortress got significantly easier because you can turn quickly while still tracking opposition because of the clear picture.

I only do cable management if cables start to get coughed in fans. :pac:

I have no patients with it and I never look inside PC anyway.

That would drive me mad knowing that the cables aren't tidy and out of the way.

Whats crazy is the fact you turned the pc off before the downloads where finished :D

    Came across this today:

Google are paying Adblock Plus to have their adverts displayed. Not too pleased about this myself. Any alternatives that are recommended? It's google ads that annoy me more than any others.

How hot are all your computers today? This room is always the hottest room in the house because of the couple of computers and the big printer always going. No room temp but cpus idling at 44 degrees C, 20 over normal. Must be the world telling me to get out of the house. Nice try nature but no thanks!

    it looks stunning

Its made by the same devs that made NFS Shift

Have you the heating on or something? My cpu is idling at 26°C

Heating on? Ambient temps are about 26c in my place with all the windows open. How are you getting 26c?

Your ambients are surely no lower than 20-22.

    Q6600 @ 3Ghz: 43, 44, 40, 38. Windows open.

    2500k @ 4.6; 30 28 26 29, web browsing.

Home a little bit, so room is OK, but its b**stard warm out..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,698 ✭✭✭Gumbi

30 - 36 for me. My temps constantly jump around, from like 25 - 32 etc. That wouldn't be my board applying voltages etc. incorrectly/randomly? Maybe it's just the temp sensor? My Gigabyte has always been like this.

My room is warmer than usual but cool enough, computer not in direct sunlight and window is open.

I'd like to try the racing sims. What's the basic kit I'd need to get started?

Ah lads what a shower of nerds we are!!!
I'm on the phone sitting in the back just after lighting the BBQ.
But I'd love to be gaming :(
Spending quality time with the missus :) and having a beer so it's all ok.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,299 ✭✭✭✭BloodBath

No harm. You might as well make the most of the little bit of good weather we get. I say as I'm sitting inside on my pc :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,387 ✭✭✭glynf

Well, I did my bit-was in town with herself earlier, so I feel I can justify a bit of time on line, keeping an eye on steam as well..;)

Pain to go anywhere else today for me anyway, roads jammed with bloody day trippers and MAMMAL's.
