And there's why Wade wasn't named originally. Cannot tackle his dinner. Hogg has put himself out of the 23 too with that last man defending decision to come in. Not what you can have a 15 do at all.

Kearney and wade piss poor there. Wade in defence is always an issue

Aah Rob..... Put a tackle in.

    No 14 is very lightweight.

Barnes tripping over himself not to blame Wade

  • Registered Users Posts: 526 ✭✭✭OnTheCouch

Youngs, Hogg and Wade (twice) all at fault there.

    Edit: and Kearney.

    Wade very poor there.
All arms but no tackle made.

tbh, Kearney looked like he had no interest in making that tackle

Barnes pissing me off big time...

Didn't want to say anything bad about Wade

    Top class from Tipuric

Kearney asleep for that tackle, fully expecting the player to cut back outside. Kearney's strength is never tackling tho, so he'll need to impress with his carrying, high ball, kicking and attacking space, and he'll need to play them at 110% to be within a sniff of next week (injuries depending).

One man lift on Richie Gray? Wouldn't like to be at 1!

Got an Aussie stream here, could someone pm me the sky one please
Even Barnes has got to be less biased than this !

    Not great by Best

Jesus Best, what was that? He changed his shoulders and hips to throw it towards his try line! Giving the ref no choice.

    Rory....

Best having a nightmare start. First one was straight but lobbed and low, so easily picked off. Second one clearly crooked.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,576 ✭✭✭garv123

Sloppy tackling giving away a try. Restart lands in touch. Now the line out is a mile crooked. What next?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,234 ✭✭✭trouttrout

Best having one of the biggest dips of form I've ever seen for a top class player

Wade's speed is unreal tho. Ran the pitch faster than the ball.

  • Registered Users Posts: 817 ✭✭✭Chabals Beard

Best darts poor.. Wade, Hogg and Kearney were brutal for that try.

    Frustrating stuff from him.

    Best's darts are wayward...

Tommy Bowe just said on Talksport that he expects to be back in full training next week but if it was up to him he'd be doing it now.

What's the craic with Best? His throws are growing more and more disappointing.

  • Subscribers Posts: 41,997 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

Tipuric slow to the breakdown when sob is carrying... He needs to watch out for that and not get caught to far apart

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,017 ✭✭✭Leslie91

I take back all I said about it being a travesty Best wasn't selected originally. His throwing into lineout has been diabolical and his play around the field has suffered as a result.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

No cohesion in the back line. Making it up as they go along.

They look like a group of lads that only met for the first time yesterday.

    Oh. Wait.

Jake White, another heralding SOB... I think everyone in Oz is flabbergasted that SOB isn't in pole position in the back row.

Mogg having a bad start !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,017 ✭✭✭Leslie91

    Their full back WTF, mare.

The Lions are apparently like leinster and Ireland... **** without BOD.

Great maul, but the position wasted by Wade.

  • Registered Users Posts: 847 ✭✭✭Gambas

    Wade looks lost.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Pack are going to tell the backs to p*ss off and keep the ball if this keeps up.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,234 ✭✭✭trouttrout

Not great to see the Lions frontrow being beaten by 3 guys in their early 20's

Judging by this so far.. zebo is on route for a bench place.

  • Subscribers Posts: 41,997 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

If the lions are to win this they need to keep it tight.... Front five game plan.

Of course, I've money on the brumbies so I dont really wasn't them to won lol

What was the spread at start?

Hogg to Mogg... back to Hogg.

    Breakdown has been very sloppy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,422 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

this was always liable to happen with this thrown together backline.

hopefully they can click at least a couple of times, because the Lions have a definite edge up front.

in fact, this would be the perfect game to practice your 10-man rugby. pity Hogg is the number 10 though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,013 ✭✭✭MattD

Absolutely no structure to the backline whenever there is space and time. Pretty embarrassing to watch Hogg receive the ball and look outside seeing nothing happening... Wade is lost, 36 is static and everyone else is just not ready.

Let alone Best's corroborating all the, prior to this, drastically exaggerated qualms with his throwing.

    Brumbies +13

I've a sneaky bet on a draw too

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Brumbies don't contest. Best weeps tears of joy.
