How did you score in your last round? ... 2013.

80 strokes today, 39 front , 41 back.

Only made 1 putt in 6 to 10 foot range, poor day on greens. Missed 3 in under 5 foot range.
Had a lesson and irons very good, but driving gone.

So, a bit more tweaking and practice and should have a good one soon.
No doubles and 11 Gir.

78 (nett 74) in balbriggan open singles
first time playing there, decent enough track. couple of silly 3 putts & doubles did the damage.

37 points in Mahon today. 6 pars,1 scratch and the rest bogeys and worse.
Out in 16 back in 21, might get my first cut. Last week CSS was 39 there, or so I was told.

Did you ever feel you're scoring well despite yourself? Went out the last two nights for nine holes. Shot level par and +1 respectively but am not happy with my game, or aspects of it. Felt like I'm 'getting away' with certain things. Losing irons and rescues to the right (which is definitely a 'path' issue for me). Not hugely destructive but don't feel I'm in control of those clubs at the moment. I don't know, maybe I'm expecting too much. Junior Cup coming up in two weeks and would like to feel more confident in the strike.

Played with the head again,not taking on anything too stupid and got rewarded.

32 points in a society outing to knightsbrook yesterday.

Managed 3 birdies in a round for the first time ever (birdie birdie finish was very nice), which doesn't say much for the rest of my play. 2 scratches early in the back 9 from prime positions off the tee.

Overall my game off the tee was relatively poor, particularly on front 9. But I was hitting my hybrids & fairway wood superbly which was compensating for that fact.

Couple of 3-putts from overly aggressive birdie attempts was frustrating,but was a good day out & bagged 3rd prize on the day

39 points in Hollywood Lakes today.

I had five birdies in the first 12 holes. 23 points off the front nine. A lackluster backnine, and a three putt on the last, put a real sour note on the day, and makes it hard to look at the positives of some outragously good golf for the first 2 hours : /

35pts in Moate this morning. Pleased in general as I used a 9 degree King Cobra driver for the first time ever in a round and was on a lot of fairways with it. Totally negated my 'aggressive fade' and while I did have 2 bad shots with it, one was bad stance alignment and one was from swinging way way too fast. Had at least 7 occasions where I shaved the hole on very fast greens so my score could easily have been much better.

Thought today was the day for a big cut
..playing off 23 feel like Im playing around 19.... Sunday comp in Esker had 24 on front nine and thought just keep it simple on back nine and I might get in around 40 mark. Out of position on 13 a par 3..flopped into a bunker...scrambled out and missed an uphill 5footer and scratched...par on the next and then bogey..then lifted off drive on 16 into trees at tee box and same on 17...two bad scratches...nearly birdied 18 ..got the par...finished on 37pts ..if only...but hey that's golf

First game after a break for holidays...had 41 points off 12 in Grange Castles open. Played out of my skin and only had 79 strokes. Hopefully i can get in the prizes but there were some serious scoring conditions out there.

(Took 2nd overall, happy days)

92 strokes off 19 in mountain view today 35pts ,felt like i was playing well hit 9fairways had 31putts 4 one putts in a row 6 in total & then three stupid 3putts :mad:.. On the 15th index1 par5 533yrds i hit driver fw then 3w fw 8iron to about 15ft & managed to 3putt walked off with a 6:mad::mad:.. Anyway bck out 2moro to try again..

Funny old game!

Was about to jump of a cliff on Sat when I played my worst round of golf ever. 17 points. A massive 7points on the front and 10 on the back, really rallied on the back

... The closest I've been to walking off a course and giving the game up!

Went out tonight to play the front 9 to get the monkey off.
3 over for 24 points off 17.
Walking onto the 7th tee even par and having beaten my 18hole score from Saturday. Was playing with the same lad from Sat. A little laugh was had.
Game fell apart after that and came in with 6points from the last 3 holes

Have been over thinking the game of late, trying too hard and putting myself under pressure, "hit it, find it, hit it again" was a bit of advice I got after Sat, it worked. I hit it a lot less

First time breaking 40 for 9.

Captains Prize was on Sunday, shot 73. Thats all I can really say about it as I still havent come to terms with how I blew such a good score......but I did it anyways.

Then played today and shot 35 points for 18 holes. But I had a 4 foot putt for par and for 38 points on the last......and 4 putted it.

Painful to play so well for 17 and 3/4 holes and then **** it all up in the last 4 feet

Had 92 blows 34pts round gowran today awful front 9 only 14pts but got it together bck 9 again some super shots with my irons but putter was cold 38 putts..Bck out friday to break the magic 40pt mark I can feel a big score coming

Shot +2 gross 73 in Lucan Gc yesterday off 3. My last counting event before firing off an entry to the North of Ireland, and off the back of some handicap uncertainty, I was desperately trying to shoot something cut-worthy. Alas, 37 pts was not enough for so much as a measly chop of 0.1, so perfect was the day. Only 1 birdie, simply not enough and ended the day with a missed putt from 3.5 feet on 18 which hurt as much as Schwartzel's each-way meltdown last sunday. Oh well, threw the entry in, hoping Im low enough to qualify; Royal Portrush ×2 for 45quid is not to be sneezed at!

After my two consecutive 33s, I improved today - to 34. Happy that I'm more consistent than I've been, but really need to get cut (I'm off 22).

Put together my best round yet today for a gross 86 in Minor Scratch Cup in East Cork.
7 pars, 7 bogeys, 2 doubles a 7 and a 9:eek:.
43 points SS so very happy all told.

Edit to say my first cut on the way:D:D
